Hi i've just bought a 51 plate vrs but don't pick it up till next week, ive seen some clips of mk 2 vrs's and the have a trip computer in between the tacho and speedo would mine have this or is mine just warning lights or were they optinal extra's? it sounds bad but i didn't pay that much attention to the dash on the test drive.

Unless its fitted with sat nav then it will have the smaller MFA computer below the rev counter.

With 2 memories, one which keeps going untill its reset or 1K miles IIRC (Memory2) and the other which records the current journey, and resets after the car has been left for approx 90mins (memory1).

Mine goes to temp mode if the temprature is below 5 degrees, but i get No 'Bing'.

AIUI it's configurable with a VAGCom. Mine doesn't either, but that suits nicely, since the temp can go above and below 5C 4 or 5 times on my trip to work some days (without gettign anywhere near freezing).

The mk2 octy doesnt bing, it sounds more like a high pitch screech on ours.

I would think the notification is already enabled.
