Absolutely Gutted

Sorry to read about your accident but glad to hear it was one you could walk away from relatively unscathed. The car isn't a pretty sight. :(

Sorry to hear this. I'll be making sure to keep an eye on lorry drivers more from now on.

Thats incredible:eek:

You had some luck there mate, glad youre OK.

Looking at the pics has sent shivers down my spine, thats where SWMBO or my daughter would be sitting in my car.

Ouch!

doesnt look to good glad to hear your ok though.

hell this is a really sobering thought. as a leaner about to just buy his first fabia and seeing this. i cant start to think what would have happened to my mate who would be sat in that seat. like everone else has said good to hear your ok

I think it was the trailer that did most of damage, but I'm not entirely sure. It all happened so fast & it seems a bit of a blur.

S'funny - the rare incidents I've been involved in everything seems to go slowmo.

Must be my pills :D

Funny, too, how you remembered the head unit coming out and hitting you on the shin and yet the rest is a blur - not being funny here, just commenting on how strange happenings get our attention at times like these

Hope you're not too sore today.

Very lucky you're in one piece

Sorry for the belated reply, I've been away.

Such a shame, but I'm glad you and the lorry driver have both walked away from it.

Jon I can see and Hear The Vultures circling Over Head :D

Glad you are ok mate, Have you got salvage rights on the car??? If not I'd be Swapping all the good parts over ASAP Ready to swap onto your New One!

Well, as expected, the car has been declared a write off. :(

My insurance company has given me a settlement offer & they will be claiming it back from the third party insurers.

Hopefully, I should have the cheque this week. So, I'll be car hunting tomorrow.

Any guess's what my replacement car will be??

That looks like a big one. As many people have said, thank god you didn't have a passenger.

Cane that hire car mate!

Are you allowed to get bits off the car? I'm in the market for a vRS steering wheel and pedal covers if you are!

I don't have salvage rights I'm afraid.

But if you want to know where the car is, I'll point you in the right direction.

I will have a few bits up for sale soon.

Things like genuine 3 piece luggage nets, genuine roof bars & Symphany stereo.

If you could, that'd be great, thanks.

I could be interested in the luggage nets too.

I'm a bit late catching this thread but after seeing the pics I just want to say thank god you were not injured in any serious way. Good luck with getting it all sorted and finding a new car. I'll be keeping an extra eye on those lorries from now on.

Gutted about the car, but glad to hear that you are ok. I imagine it was a very shocking experience. At least you have the choosing of a new car to look forward to.

Keeping diesel, with the milage I do. Would love a Octavia II vRS TDI but they're still beyond my budget.

As much as I love the Fabia vRS & it's "wolf in sheep's clothing" status , I fancy a change. If only the new Fabia vRS was available!

Keeping it VAG but not Skoda I'm afraid.

Sorry I didnt post on this thread earlier :o - glad you're ok, gutted for you about your car, that sounded like a nasty incident

Feel free to pm me :D

Thanks john
