Hungarian Grand prix qualifying - Alonso the cheating git

Featured Replies

Refusing to move out of the pits to prevent Lewis Hamilton getting a final fast lap in!

Cheeky cheating git!

i wonder what the result of this will be..

dare Ron Dennis suspend him?

He's fecked up there I think - He's proper annoyed big Ron.

Wonder if the FIA will take in interest in it?

highly amusing how ron frogmarched alonso's race engineer down the pitlane for all the worlds press to see! "lets see if we can't find you your p45 now shall we?"

I don't think it would be against any regulations , so the FIA are unlikely to care , but seriously annoying your team boss is a very bad idea

I don't think Ron would suspend him Paul as it would be detrimental to the team championship challenge.

Obviously we don't know the contractual side of things but I wonder if the team could fine him.

Darn missed it again (had to walk to police station earlier + do some shopping, totally forgot it was on :( ) - yeah that does sound like a particularly bad idea...

that was well out of order, Hamilton did well in the interview, you could tell he was pi**ed off though

They had both come in to the pits with about two minutes to go - Alonso ahead of Hamilton. They changed Alonso's tyres , lifted the lolipop for him to go , and he just sat there for about twenty seconds not moving. He was perfectly calm and still - not what would have happened if he had a problems - then eventually went , doing the fastest lap of the third session.

By the time that Hamiltion had his tyres changed and got out of the pits there wasn't enough time left for him to complete his out lap before the session finished so he missed his final run. His time in session 2 was faster than the eventual pole , so its very likely he would have been on P1 for the race.

In hindsight LH should have realised what was happening and gone back out without changing tyres. Could have spoilt FA's lap to retain pole, or even set a new proper pole. I hope he finds a good way to stuff it to FA tomorrow ! A good pit strategy which would allow LH to hold FA up and let Kimi take second whilst LH retaining the win would be the dream, a highly unlikely one, but would be good :D

Was FA's move any different to MS parking his car at Rascasse last year ?

I could see that there might be some pit lane jiggery pokery tomorrow but McLaren still need a 1 - 2 finish if possible for the points.

I think it was Alonso trying to make a point after the team held him back at the previous stop. Stupidly he doesn't realise that they did that for his greater good.

welcome 2 f1 lewis a bit sneaky but then again if u were champion u would do the same ;alonso is messing with hamiltons head so come on ferrari lets upset mclaren bring back ;schumi;

FIA are investigating the incident.

Whether they are same team or not, the FIA will take action on someone for it. If it was a team order, then expect the FIA to take this into consideration in the spy scandel!

Who is the manager of the team?

Ron Dennis was not happy and if I was the team boss I would be kicking Alonso's A$$ :finger:

There is clearly a split in the team and it's going to play into the hands of Ferrari if the team is not pulling together

The race tomorrow should be better now anyway :D

I dont care about that incident, all i want is a Ferrari Victory:thumbup:

Alonzo has been dropped 5 places on the grid as punishment :o

And worse for the team:

McLaren will also not be allowed to score constructors' points.

Chris

That's the real pi$$er -

McLaren will also not be allowed to score constructors' points.

I have no sympathy for Alonso he deserved that.

I have no sympathy for Alonso he deserved that.

Like I say HE has cost the team in this race :thumbdwn:

McLaren want to win the constructors first and then it's a bonus if thier driver wins the championship.

Bad apples need to be removed and squashed :D

If McLaren can't score constructors points I would imagine Alonso will be driving a somewhat de-tuned car today.....:D

That's a shame then!

Lewis had a clear run for the whole race.

Drivers at war:

McLaren unlikely to appeal (risk of harsher punishment or Spy scandle issues????):

itv.com/f1 - McLaren may drop points appeal

Ron's post race interview:

Good one for Lewis, but many will be asking what he would have done had he not been given Pole by the stewards. If he did have a part in his own impedance, then how guilty will he feel right now?

How I'd love to be able to pop down the road to the Paragon, and be a fly on Ron's office wall tomorrow.....

I'm glad Hamilton won the race , I wonder what is going to happen re the constructors points though? We all know Ron Dennis would rather win the constructors championship than the drivers , he has made no secret of that for years. I wonder whats gonna happen to Alonso now , IMHO hes acting like a spoilt lil baby. Good driver , tho.

Ok, I'm confused. How does car B queueing for service stop car A leaving the pitbox when signalled?
