VW magazines in connection with them coming along to

Bruntingthorpe to do a feature on the day

and the Briskoda.net community?

any thoughts or has anyone already done this?

I was wondering the same thing, and if I hadn't had such an awful morning at work, I was going to ask and then offer to contact them myself.

Oh well ...

EVO magazine have been contacted, and they have since posted on the forum.

As Manny says, EVO have already been contacted, but as the day conincides with their deadlines they can not come.

Performance VW, Race & Trackday Cars and another magazine who's name slips my mind at the moment, didn't even bother to respond.

We did ask Skoda UK, and although they appreciate Briskoda's support for the Skoda brand, they will not endorse the meet in any way, shape or form.

And if anyone does contact Max Power/Revs/FastCar you'll be lined up against a wall and shot !!

Unless you persuade them to bring a selection of Page 3 girls that is :naughty:

Given that the likes of Max Power, Revs, etc never cover anything Skoda related, getting them along might help change their opinions a bit. As some have already suggested, the fabia vRS is heading towards a BarryBoy car anyway...

i was thinking the same on the Revs/Maxpower etc as they never have any Skoda's and it would raise the profile a little and maybe some of the people who read the magazines will begin to realise how good our cars are and not sit in your boot when driving around!!!!

Redline is certainly the better of those types of mag. Would be good to get the Skoda brand more recognised by anyone who doesn't already know how good the cars are!

Well it's something I suppose. Pity they wouldn't support the meet ie not endorse it but welcome it and come along. In a marketing sence it would have been good for them but I suppose they have their reasons.
