Ibiza owner says lo

Featured Replies

Neo suggested I should say hello over here (on SeatCupra.net), as I might want to tag along to the Rolling Road day you're running next month @ AMD.

As my signature says I've got a MY04 Ibiza Sport TDi, with a few things done to it, mostly enhancing performance or driveability.

I'm trying to get it past the 200BHP mark, before thinking about upgrading Turbo + Intercooler, and with todays work, might have done that.

It was Revo'd last month, and put out 189bhp/313lbft on the rollers @ stealth - plots here , and since then has run in more (14,000 on the clock now, its 5 months old), and today had a Dynatwist induction kit designed for the Leon Cupra R fitted over at badger5, which has improved throttle response, and rev needle whips round the gauge now...stronger pull too.

Only downside is less black smoke out the back when I boot it, which I guess means less unburnt fuel, so more efficient, ego more power. :D

anyway hello :D

Hello there matey :)

Hey Ross,

I take it by your signature, you got your car mapped finally...

Are the plots anywhere online, for me to see?

congrats on being the first of us to break 200bhp :)

It might be mapped ;)

Plots arent going up yet, as theres more to come :)

Alreet mate. welcome to our humble hideout :D

gawwd Ross, what are you up to now?

Just tweekage mate :)

Welcome to the site cpufreak.

This Dynatwist induction kit you have fitted . Have you had a chance to take any pics of it yet, would like to see it. Also was it a straight forward fit.

looks very bling \o/

juries out on whether it will've added power, or just improved low-midend pickup.

I'm trying to get the car booked in at the rolling road its previously run on, so I can have continuinity between results.

but the car feels quicker, and is more responsive, and seems to pull more strongly at the top end too, so we will see.

Faboka_vRS: you have in your signature that you have sideairbags....

recently an articulated lorry cut me up on slip road onto M25 (J28), whilst I was 1/3 of the way along him.

took evasive action (braked hard and turned to right), and clipped kerb, was doing maybe 35-40mph.

both side airbags went off. *sigh*

lorry didn't stop either, so expensive :(

Welcome cpufreak.

Had been talking to badgerbill about a CAI kit for the PD130 and he said he was getting one sorted soon. So you must have the development machine then! Nice one. Will be intersting to see if it has made any difference. Is it any louder than before?

Enjoy the site.

yep :) he said someone had been asking :p

I don't notice it being any louder when driving...

Opinions as to whether it will have made much/any actual difference to max power output, or just improved the curves, are mixed - from the driving point of view it feels much quicker..will find out when I get it on the rollers, which I'm going to try and do ASAP.
