Featured Replies

Things are looking up for me so I maybe in the market for a new set of wheels......... Brand New Fully Loaded Octavia Mk2 vRS for round about

If you can afford the economy, then Volvo every time.

Chris

volvo, in fact i'd buy an older but faster car :D

If it is strictly between the 2 then I would get the volvo. If not there is a lot of car out there for that kind of money. How about an M5, admittedly it will be a few years older but it is the better machine, Jaguar S Type R, Jaguar XJR, Audi S6, Old Shape Audi RS4 The list goes on and on.

Volvo!! No brainer.

You can get a 3 year old Audi S4 for that money.

I'd be looking for a M5 also if your considering the Volvo "R" have a drive in a M5 first.

Volvo. Proper Q car - most boy racers & vandals will probably assume it's just a normal Volvo & leave you alone.

When I had my remapped Octavia I came across one of those Volvo's on a dual carriagewya somewhere north of Oxford - the thing was very quick indeed.

Get the Volvo - but you need to consider that they're expensive when they go wrong.

I think that negagint depreciation the Octavia would be cheaper to run but as soon as you look at the total cost of ownership including the used value when you sell it, there will be next to nothing in it.

Used Volvo extates hold their value incredibly well. Just compare the prices of the 850T5/T5R estates with a similar Octavia and you'll see what I mean.

lol.. i changed my msn sign in name to "i want a S60 R" just last week..

Get the Volvo

Depends if you want a quickish car or a fast one.

S60R is meant to be in the S4,M3 category.Octavia is in Golf GTI category

Go in between and get a new 6 MPS
