Just had a thought (rare I know) and I'd like to see if there is any interest in this idea.

On previous National days I've been on, they have produced a CD afterwards with pictures of the general event and pictures of the cars, with a seperate folder of any pictures of your car on track. I know Colin, Geoff and maybe some others will be out taking piccies when not driving.

We could also include some in car footage from those of us with on-board cameras, if someone can be ar5ed to collate and edit the footage (anyone want to volunteer?).

The CDs from other events usually go for about the

DVD of video footage as well?

I may be able to help out with turning cam-corder stuff into DVD's as I've got all the gear at home to pull it in and manipulate it. Would we be looking to do an overview of the day with a bit of everything, or focussing on key people on track (like the 'whale choker' lapping everything )? Also, anyone want to volunteer to do a soundtrack as I don't fancy the legal implications of using music I own on it, if it's being sold

Time may be a problem just at the moment, but over the next couple of weeks I should have some time....

As for music, hadn't got that far

i think both col and myself will be running bumper cams... so we can get some 80's style Andy Rouse manouvers for the camera between the pair of us....

Lol - I may not be getting there until the afternoon now, but I'll bring my camcorder and camera and get some footage too. If people want to give me their tapes on the day, or copy them and post them to me later, I'm happy to have a go at producing the DVD and then posting the tapes back

I talked to Colin after Anglesey about doings a Pics CD for the National, hasn't been mentioned for a while but i'm sure he said he's going to try and do something on the day if possible.

However, if we can "upgrade" to a DVD then a combined pics & video disc sounds like a nice idea.

As you say, myself & Colin (and 1 or 2 others) will be taking plenty of pics, and the bumper cams are in hand.

I don't have a DVD burner yet, but by a happy co-incedence i am looking for one at a decent price, so might be able to help out with production. I could do a Pics CD no problem though.

I'm happy to hand over copies of any piccies that I take ... the photography is half the reason that I'm going. Let me know afterwards who is organising it and I'll put them on a cd-rom and mail them or make them available on my website.

volunteer to do a soundtrack

I got a studio and already have stuff recorded and ready to roll but is all dance music (drum and bass, house, bigbeat) I can also do atmospherics and sounds and stuff as I have done some corporate stuff too.

would donate some copyright free music for a video if someone did one.
