looking for a VRS!

Featured Replies

Alright guys looking for a nice Fabby Vrs

Needs to be close to 7k - not more than 50K miles

My friend recently got an 04 yellow one with 41K for a lot less than 7K

Only thing is im unsure of what colour to get - basically i like them all. Ive ruled out yellow though as its too out there for me!

So basically what colour should i get?

Red is standing out but i wouldn't want it to fade over time - is this a problem??

Red is good but make sure you look after the bodywork with regular waxing.

where abouts are you i can see what the skoda network has out there and maybe point you to a nearer dealer?

Erm, little place called Annan, 7 miles north of Gretna Green (border)

Carlisle and Dumfries are the biggest towns/ cities to me

Dont really wanna buy from a dealer though!

Cash is waiting for the right car

don't be put off by the miles,do be put off by any missing history just walk no excuses, race blue is easy the best colour;)don't think you will pick one up at that money tho:D

yeah i know miles on a diesel turbo is nothing!

Regualar oil changes is about all a diesel needs

I should know as my 306 HDI is onto 141,000 miles and going strong. - the rest of the car is falling to pieces though as its french!

naa i get your point.... i wanted to buy that yellow one but i found this at money i really couldn't refuse :D could still make 2k if i sold it on now :P

The red colour can't fade as it has a clear top coat, long gone are the days of having to wax your red car every month to keep the colour looking tip top. Its still a very good idea to regularly wax your car as it builds up a good water repellent skin.

By the way the most important thing is Red ones are faster...

have you looked on piston heads jason ? seems to be a new one in black with 40k £7250....... take buddie with you and let him negosiate

just don't let him use his "sheep" skills on it ;) ;)

alright, after yellow I think red is the best colour, the yellow is not as bad as you think, I was not keen on yellow at first but after living with it for a few weeks it grows on you, it's not as in your face as you think.

I have had countless people in my family making jokes about owning a yellow car but they have come round to the colour and say it's not as bad as I thought.

Only thing I don't like about the yellow is wasps, flys and diesel show up on it!

Good luck with the hunt for your perfect Vrs

David

Hmm. bit too expensive for me but good luck with the sale!

Could push to mid 7's for the right car

There was a cracking 54 plate for sale in the autotrader, 31K £6,995 but it had sold :(

its a pre determined setting in the ecu, all red fabias are quicker, it just works like that;)

Yer look at jabba's fabia, thats red! so maybe there is a connection between paint code and power ;)

Black ones look nicer tho :P
