Hello everyone been lurking around this great site for a very long time and picked up a lot of very usefull info.

Today I exchanged my octy2 140 ambient which has been a great car for 3 years for a new red octy scout hopefully it will be as good, my first impressions are very impressed.

Hope to get some pics of it and post them soon ,all the best royskie

Ps what is the scout, is that the new name for the 4x4 models or just a trim level.

Hi royskie

My workmate picked up a Scout yesterday , i've got the 4x4 combi , we work on mobile phone sites and get off the beaten track on a regular basis can't wait to see if the scout is any better on paper its got 17mm more clearance and this fandangle hill control (we will see about that ;) ) but i'm about to fit some proper tyres AT's by Izzarda , not a really popular make but another engineer runs these on a Subaru Forester and they seem OK , the profile change will give a similar ground clearance. I towed a Hobby caravan for a friend last weekend 32 feet with hitch these can't be towed legally in the UK with anything less than a 3.5T transit the Octavia eat it alive and we went accross a muddy field ( a landrover freelander couldn't hack it before i tried ). Skoda 4X4 are the business you won't be disapointed !!!!!!!

Welcome :)
