I'd be interested to know this too - I want a gauge but I doon't want it to be obtrusive.

I havent actually fitted mine yet - but I'm driving about without the pillar trim, and have an ebay pod that needs trimming (when I can make time).

Boost gauge nipple on the Allard pipe is blanked off until I can do it all....

Wondering if it wont be a bit intrusive located there...

Lots of info scattered about on Brisk - be nice to have a set of pics and comments organised in a single place...

That's a nice set-up - minimal intrusion of the edge of the windshield, reversible to normal without any cutting or drilling done....

Minimal wire run to the fuse box as well, keep meaning to hide the connectors, but its another job I keep meaning to do.........

You had to point out the connectors - didnt notice at first. Perhaps a bit of black heatshrink tubing would make them even less noticeable..

Btw - did you tap the guage bulb into the dimmer circuit or just ignition/instrument off/on?

If the dimmer - straight off the dimmer thumbwheel switch?

Cheers

Bas

So would pushing them down between the dash and the A pillar, but the connectors are red to match the car.............LOL

Not off the dimmer as I like to see it of a night time.

That looks really good Beretta.

Is it a pain in the *** to wire up? I wouldn't mind a gauge....

Wires from the gauge direct into the fuse box, and the pipe from the gauge connects as per the photo.

nice Dan.

are they easy to see down near the radio?

There easy enough to see below the radio but prefered boost gauge more in line of sight thats why i put it in the vent as i don't like pillar pods myself

here's a few pics of the pillar pod I made from a spare £5 trim and a cheapo ebay pod trimmed to fit the pillar profile, and attached with tigerseal..

LOL Rich - sounds about right ;)

I like the vent myself Dan. Will have to have a good think about this.

With the vent, doesn't all the air still blow up into it?

Good location, I think I'd put one there if I installed one...

Someone needs to write a guide btw :)

that pillar pod work is really excellent. Will have to look up tigerseal....

Tigerseal or Sikaflex, in fact it may well have been Sikaflex, but they are both similar - strong adhesive/sealant, you can stick plastick bodykit on with it, no additional fixings :)

SIKAFLEX 212 ADHESIVE SEALANT BLACK NEW TUBE BODY KIT on eBay, also Body Modifications, Exterior Styling, Car Tuning Styling, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 05-Dec-07 17:40:48 GMT)

I've been trying to get a pal of mine, who does a lot of fibreglass laminating, to get a mould of the finished pillar+pod but he doesn't seem keen at the moment, which is a shame as I've not managed to find one in the aftermarket for Octy..

I think you can tell where I have put the booost gauge.

I've seen pictures of a guage holder that sits on the steering column so it's postioned between the speedo and rev counter - anyone know where I can get one?

Awesome sell this one:
