You're welcome :)

Oh for sure Bentleys have issues - they are after all part of the VW / Audi Group! But I'd still prefer a Bentley lol.

I agree about BL, but then with them closing, it is also responsible for alot of job losses :( but we digress.

I don't understand your tepid sentence - in one breath you say we have warmly welcomed you, but then you say we're a tepid bunch, which means we've only half heartidly welcomed you, with no warmth? Is it like getting a C Grade - must do better?

Im sure your friend will find the right Fabia for them, as I found the right Octavia for me  and instead of going for a drive in one, why not test drive it yourself and then get a feel for the car, rather than an "outside" view?

You should really go for a spin in an Octavia vRS - I'm sure you would like them

Sorry for being so confusing in my tepid sentence... Let me explain it thus... Before I was on here I was cold to Skodas, but after the warm welcome I've received on here, I am beginning to thaw... Hence I am tepid at the moment

As for your thinking about test driving... I am interested in testing one... need to learn which are the ones with the power etc first. I assume from your comment that a vRS is pretty nifty so I'll be seeing if I can drag my friends out to try some

Its perfectly ok, we are, after all, human lol.

The Fabia vRS is 130bhp Diesel which moves quite well, and even better when remapped. The Octavia vRS is a 180bhp 1.8 Turbo Petrol that moves along very well, and is even better when remapped

There are also the 150bhp Octavia Turbo's that when mapped properly are often in the same league performance wise as the vRS Octavia thats been remapped

I'd let you drive mine, except the last time I was in the midlands, I ended up bringing home one of the inhabitants who caused me 7 years of misery

Yep, vRSs are the babies to go for. The Fabia vRS only comes as a diesel but don't let that 'diesel' bit put you off, its mid-range torque surge is addictive. :D
