No way, that would give you an unfair advantage. I want to have the best handling car for once. :D

Roundabouts are your friend :D

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Looking forward to this......dammit, why isn't it tomorrow so I can get it slapped on. :(

Skudmissile John showed me a powerslide in his and it was amazing.....didn't think a vRS was capable of such things as normally it lurches around and nosedives as soon as you press on. Reminded me of my BMW, Peugeot and MR2 days for controllable oversteer.....well, perhaps not the BMW's. They got me into so much trouble it was scary. :)

 That wasnt a powerslide  its better in the dry, then you can really get sideways without ending up in a hedge.

Remember mate, once its fitted be very careful, i know ur a careful guy so you should be ok but get used to it before you start trying new stuff out

Mine is poo ATM its carp with these kilber tyres. Was quite funny in lidl car park the other night (i was collecting my takeaway, not hangin with the boys ;))

Did a big left hand lift off. car was defo on 3 wheels and sideways for a good 100m, not bad considering the carpark is only 150m long

Just opened the box and found one of the large U brackets is missing. Doh!

Have to wait for that to be delivered before I can fit it.....NOOOOOOOO......

As it says on the link, for 'the same shape, design and material specification'. Whilst the design and shape are pretty similar, the materials may have vastly different properties.

Hmm, good point. The Whiteline one weighs a tonne if that means anything. :D

Makes the already tubby Fabia even more lardy but will be well worth it.

If I stand it on its end and try bending it, it pretty much refuses so it's bloody strong.

Chap at Balance M'sport apologised when I called him this morning and is sending me another U bolt on Monday. Means I can get it fitted next weekend just in time for Crimbo. :D

 pfft, whos needs proper scientific tests when you've got the chris-o-bend-o-meter ;)

I have just fitted a Whiteline RARB to the Roomster. It was an interesting experiance on several fronts and I'll do a full write up in the Roomster section later but I thought I needed to add some comments to this thread especially as I am a Jabba bar veteran.

The whole Whiteline package is far better in someways. The clamps, fittings, bushes etc are far better quality, there is no messing round with stupid clamps that don't quite fit and you can tell the fittings are purpose made for their application. The Jabba bar is a bit of a let down here making you think that when they put the product together they went down B&Q to buy the nearest thing that would fit and jobs a good'un (You can tell it's made in Britain....).

However....

The Whiteline bar itself is shockingly bad quality :eek::eek::eek: I would expect better from a first year apprentice  I fitted the Mk 4 Golf or Octy bar and this was the adjustable one. The bar is flattened on each end for the attachement to the box section (Which is attached to the Shock/Torsion beam) and curved slightly to follow the shape of the beam, oneside was fine the other looks like it's just been knocked into shape on a Friday afternoon by a blind muppet meaning it catches on the beam.

I toyed with the idea of sending it back but to be honest i can't be ar5ed to go through all the phonecalls, packaging, posting, fnd time to fit it again etc.

The bar has now been modified to fit and Ill review it's condition after a few miles.

The Jabba bar is a work of art and fits perfectly in comparison. I can't really compare the performance between two different vehicles but the Whiteline bar on the medium setting fitted to a Roomy is.......interesting

 pfft, whos needs proper scientific tests when you've got the chris-o-bend-o-meter ;)

LMAO....yup, as accurate as you can get. :D

Pretty surprised at Decrons comments. This one looks fine to me. Both ends that bolt on to the shock mount are well made with no defects. All the brackets and bushes are pretty good quality too. Odd.

Then again yours is the Golf IV bar. Mine's the Polo 9N one......maybe they come off a different production line? Mine off the machine automated one and yours from the Lithuanian childrens playgroup anti roll bar production centre? :D

If it had been both ends I would have said "Ah well looks like the Roomy does have a slightly different rear end" but it's just the one side :(

Shame, it puts a bit of a downer on the whole thing. I'd be interested to see what modifications you had to make to get it to fit.

The only thing I am aware of with mine is that the U bolts that hold it onto the rear beam are designed for the Polo not the vRS and as such need to be widened to fit due to the beam being bigger. Otherwise it should go straight on.

I know lots of Octy owners have fitted these things too (been searching :D) but I couldn't see any negative reports there.

As per my comments on the Roomster thread, the flat ends on yours look like a complete dogs dinner. Mine look as follows:

The bar overall:

Looks much more tidy than the bar you had delivered:

the jabba one was no bed of roses to fit,i still have nightmares over them bloody clamps:rofl:

I have spoken with Allards about possibly making a custom rarb when i get my cupra 20vt. They said they wont beable to make one but they know a guy who can ;) he is very heavy in the design of things within the motorsport industry so ill keep you all posted on what the out come is...... I may even have a word with a friend at forge about making one..... as the rear strut brace they have listed for the ibiza / polo / fabia that was because i leant them my old one as a base ;)

My jabba one was easy to fit, and fitted well. Okay, the clamps to the beam are pretty basic, but they do their job well and are quite wide so they dissipate the load pretty well, more so than the whiteline ones seems too (looks like you could do some damage if you over tightened them).

I still think its [jabba RARB] too stiff thro

i decided in my wisdom that this was a simple job i could do without taking it to the garage some 5 miles away,so with only basic tools i set to,you are right it was easy, but i forgot i didn't evn have a decent jack,it was 5 miles away in aforementioned garage, anyway the bad bit was laying under the car, trying to shape the bloody clamps round the beam,on the 4 poster i would have had it done in 15mins:rofl:

I reversed the car onto a 3inch high chunk of wood - it was pretty cosy under there, thats for sure

:rofl::rofl:i agree,for the sake of 5miles i made the job hard work:D
