Just to find out how widespread this problem is really!

NO.. leaks in my 55 fabia vrs

My 1998 Felicia sunroof leaked earlier this year (in March)

But hasnt since a clean and vaseline of the seals.

Mine hasn't leaked but I have only had it a few months and unsure if it did with the previous owner :)

My Fabia's rear doors used to leak. No problems with my Octy so far (touchwood).

I have had a leak through the sunroof and tailgate. Gave it a good spray of silicone oil and the tailgate leaked again once recently (with the rain), but another spray seems to have stopped it.

never had this problem on this or any of my previus 2 fabia's or my mk 2 octy:thumbup:

Never a problem on my old silver Octy Mk1, Grey Octavia II or my current black Octavia II.

i've sealed all the doors on my Fabia VRS

My Favorit leaked through the boot (common problem - I re-did the membrane which helped).

A number of my Felicia's sunroof's have leaked, generally replaced the seals and cleaned them.

The front passenger door on my current Felicia seems to be leaking - although I haven't investigated yet!

Agh nooooooooo don't put vaseline on your rubber seals as it will destroy them!!!! Use halfords spray silicone lubricant on them  I used this on my mr2 t-bar seals to keep the pesky rain out

All the doors leaked, now supposedly fixed.........

Ben

No leaks yet, buy only had the car a month...mind you I do notice it steams up quite quickly...

No leaks in my 06 plate Fabia vRS

  • 1 month later...

Have had problems with the rear nearside door leaking fixed under warranty well I think its fixed the carpet fells a bit damp when compared to the carpet on the other side.

As your maybe seeing here there is a pattern occuring that follows suit at work...

About 50% of them do it...

But it depends if the owner realises, or is bothered too, so that figure is not acurate.

No leaks in my 06 Fabia vrs as yet and I do check regularly.

Are we disqualifying self-inflicted leaks, like cutting door membranes to get bigger front speakers in?

Not a door leak, just a pollen filter housing leak - just as bad really though.
