The Octy vRS Estate on 18" RS6 alloys thread.

Featured Replies

Here you go if anyones interested. Just a couple of piccies to show off the new rims. They're 8 x 18" RS6 reps with 225/40/ZR 18 Toyo Proxes. Could now do with slamming and the fitment of a bad ass 'zorst but that's for another day..... :D

PS - They're proper 'Bo I tell thee....

I remember seeing it at Brunters, looks very sharp indeed.

jimmy, that is one very nice setup!

Think they suit the estate better than the hatch

Very nice!

That's a mean-looking motor!

Look at the rear wheel on this picture of mine (17's with 225/45)

(i dont remember any tyre rubbing, body flexing/twisting malarky)

You could probably lower the estate a lot!

Oh, and nice car btw :D

Cheers

Phil

Looks very nice - how does the ride compare to how it was before?

The ride is certainly different with 40 section tyres meaning that you do feel differences in road surface alot more than with the previous 55 section tyres. It was a bit disconcerting at first but you get used to it and the grip is vastly increased. In fact the limiting factor now is the stock suspension which really does need uprating to get the best out of the increased grip afforded by the bigger tyres.

Another plus with the wheels is that they're an absolute doddle to keep clean. 10 mins max and all 4 are spangly. Not like the balls-ache with the OE spider type wheels.

They look absolutely excellent!

Here ends this Public Service Announcement,

I thankyowwwwww :D

I reckon that looks the biz Jimmy

Looks great Jimmy!

Oh and Jon, it might have looked better on yours if it was clean!

It was clean when he went on track.

All the dirt is the remains of Paul's new tyres, which weren't new for very long :D

Just like the way he tried to destroy Colins tyres at Brunters!

Hey, they asked for it :D

the 255s on the rear did make it look a tad aggressive though :D

Jon, those alloys on the hatch, what exactly are they (size and make etc?)

We're considering getting a set of 18"s for ours, and they look dead sexy :D

... good job i had a cracking overtime month in April :mischief:

I though you could put anything larger than 16 on the Occy Estate, something about the rear suspension pillars and stress ? Anyone else heard that ?

BTW Looks schweet... a big  from me.

car looks brilliant

Very nice. I agree about the cleaning. The spider alloys are the hardest wheels I've ever had to clean.
