Featured Replies

Whats the best price you have every paid for 4 of these in the 205/45R16 fabia fitment?

Ive just got a quote for £270.25 for 4 fitted and balanced. Which I thought was pretty good. but Knowing you lot, someone will be along soon with an even cheaper price

That seems damn good to me, can you let me know where!?

ta!

Jon :)

When I got mine this time last year I paid £300 inc fitting from southshore tyres.

I paid £57 each online then £25 for fitting/balanced etc at a local garage. (£253 all in)

£270 seems fair.

Out of interest any one tried toyo's and perelli zero nero's - I have p neros at the moment on the front and they are very good for grip but give a lot of road noise wondered how the toyo's compared cos there seem to be some good deals on them!

Toyos aren't too bad on the noise,

i paid £114 for a pair , and i get free fitting at work

i paid £70 a corner at southshore tyres.. it worked out cheaper than blackcircles/mytyres.

altho to be honest, there are better tyres around... soft sidewalls on the toyos dont suit the furby and make the handling a bit "squishy"

not if they are xl rated ones ;)

black circles were doing these real cheap a while ago john:thumbup:

So am in thinking that these tyres are Best suited for my car and Random driving style??

Most people say yes, the T1-R's are the best for the vRS. Either that or F1's, but most favour the Toyo's I'd say.

many people have different views on tyres and i think in all honesty its personal preference, i hate the toyo t1-r's myself ive had them on 2 different cars both with sorted suspension setups (bilstien and koni) and i found the tyres to be a big weekness on both cars!

they were way too soft and unless the roads where bone dry and the temprature was red hot they where useless, i changed to goodyear and both times i found the eagle f1 to be a much better allrounder

bear in mind that this was a a few years back before i worked in the industry and i knew little about tyres, since feb 2007 ive worked for goodyear anyway so now im very biased :P

also may i point out that going to an xl rated tyre to combat sidewall softness isnt a great way of doing things, the load rating on the fabia vrs is 83 with either a speed rating of v or w! the fact you have to buy the toyo in a reinforced load rating shows how crap they really are, the eagle f1, conti sport and others are all fine and dont suffer from this problem!

I found the eagle F1's to spongy sidewalls too.... But absolutly awesome tyre in the wet!

You just got to look what the traffic police have on their volvos........ eagle f1's.

But at 70+ a corner i cant really stretch to those this month, unless you cna get them cheap ;)

Well you never get owt if you dont ask ;)

there are far better tyres than the toyo's,but then they are miles cheaper than anything better

:D indeed!

our garage supply and fit the goodyears for south yorkshire police they tend to now go for the goodyear excellence tyre as its non rotational and therefore doesnt cause probems if they get a flat and need to change the wheel.

found camskill to be the best value for just buying the tyres. Got 4 delivered to me for £245, fitted for £15 for 4, balanced too.

This was for 215/40 R17 though, so don't try to use this as some form of comparison. ;)

J, where the heck do you get them all fitted and sorted for £15?! Mate's rates surely....
