About to buy Furby vRS - some Qs

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

Congrats on the forum, I have found it very helpful so far.

I currently have an Audi A3 1.8T import which I want to change for a Furby vRS. My proposed spec will be Black Magic with cruise control.

 I have a few questions

1. Has anyone else moved between similar cars (A3, Golf, other 1.8T cars) and what differences did they notice most?

2. Are discounts available on the vRS from the dealer? If not, any chance of freebies?

3. Will climate control be an option soon?

All help much appreciated.

Hi everyone' date='

Congrats on the forum, I have found it very helpful so far.

Go for Xenons and you will never want halogeon headlamps ever again, the Xenons are truely awsome, I also tagged on cruise and side airbags for safety.

I went from a V5 Golf to a Polo 100pdtdi to a Fabia VRS the Fabia is safely the quickest out of the bunch through all the gears except first gear on the V5 Golf. The Fabia is the best cruiser, has the punchiest mid range, handling etc....... you will NOT be disappointed.

2. Are discounts available on the vRS from the dealer? If not, any chance of freebies?

I got front mudflaps chucked in, you won't get much discount as the car is a bargain to begin with.

3. Will climate control be an option soon?

Don't think so but you still get automatic A/C, set to the temp you want leave on fan speed 1/2 and the system sorts itself out, gets to the required temp and maintains it.

All help much appreciated.[/quote']

The spec I have below cost me

Thanks Des for the quick reply.

It would seem then that the a/c is "semi-automatic" which is fine by me. I don't use mine that much at the moment as it eats into the fuel consumption on my Audi. (I drive about 500 miles a week so try to maximise fuel economy.)

I seen a few car brokers offering Skoda from UK main dealers with discounts of about

Hi Bennyboy, I've just ordered a Blackmagic Fabia vRS to replace my Leon Cupra which is a 180bhp 20VT.

I had only a fairly short test drive, but was very surprised at the vRS's performance, 0-60 is slower but in gear accelaration was very close the Leon and this was on a car with just 13 miles on the clock.

To be honest out of the 2 dealers I spoke to, one didn't seemed too bothered about selling me the car, his attitude was if you don't buy it the next bloke will and the other offered me a good p/x so didn't want to push my luck trying for freebies.

My car is due to be built 1st week in June for delivery the end of June and I can't wait. :D

the other offered me a good p/x so didn't want to push my luck trying for freebies.

But the person you were dealing with sells cars...you should've pushed your luck with freebies, it's not like they're going to kick you out of the showroom for being rude! :D

Rob.

I'm obviously too soft.

I cannot find the Xenons on the options list. How do you order them and how much do they cost?

Has anyone else used a broker?

I have seen them advertising

I was the first on here to get one... :D went into the showroom the day the car was officially released and they said they would do one for

I only waited 10 days on my car but ithad no "extras", it Black Magic in colour and the car is just fantastic much better than my Mini Cooper I traded in :)

Welcome to Briskoda.

There are a few dealers out there willing to give discounts, but very little. I have no problems recommending a Skoda of any sort to people who are currently driving anything at all. The quality really is up to VW standards as it should be considering! ;)

Hope you enjoy it when you get it.

Welcome!

I didnt get any discount on mine, but did get a good price for my trade in so I was happy.

Mine had some factory options so I had to wait, but after being quoted around 4 months delivery it arrived in under 3 so I was happy.

There is a thread somewhere that I started with most of the option codes listed.

I was the first on here to get one... :D went into the showroom the day the car was officially released

But when did you pick it up????? (6th Sept)

(And I think Ross Clarke ordered his a bit earlier).

Welcome bennyboy.

You may have a bit of trouble finding one with cruise already fitted, but some of the dealers are ordering them for the showrooms to help lower the wait.

I had that problem, could have got a Black one a lot quicker but none of them had cruise fitted.

Hi,All, First post for me as a new member, have to say what a fantastic forum etc,AND free.

About to take delivery of my new Fabia VRS, Monday 17thMay, Cannot wait.

Have noticed a few threads regarding pricing etc, I have managed to get a blinding deal from my local dealer, pushed hard on price, but dealer was keen to sell the car, {I think more cars are available now which makes things more competitive from a dealer point of view}

11,390 O.T.R, NOT BAD EH !!!!! :)

My little brother got his black magic VRS for 11 grand. And the lucky git only had to wait 2 weeks for it cos it was a cancelled order.
