Featured Replies

I heard it stood for Victory Rallye Sport

Very Rapid Skoda :)

I've heard the word 'Victory' bandied about before.

I also heard that it was the result of a spat with ford over the RS name.

That'll be why I've heard it bandied about a FEW times before

It is Victory Rally Sport...

Or Victor Rally Sport...

Ive seen it on a Skoda documentary..

i thought virtual rally sport???

Very Rusty Skoda :)

I believe the conclusion that we came to was victory renn sport

Very Racey Sedan?

The RS stands for "Rally Sport" and is the original and official model designation.

This is the vRS moniker on the continent, however in regions where Ford own the rights to "RS", Skoda were not permitted to sell the vehicle with this name, so a sort of sporty tick like squiggle is added - or at least that is how it is interpreted abroad.

In Ford ruled domains (this country) the intentionally ambiguous "v" shape is treated as a the letter "v" - so "vRS"

Technically the "v" means nothing as far as Skoda Auto CZ is concerned as it was never meant to have it.

So the choice is yours.

V

Very Reliable Skoda......

Vaguely Rapid Skoda :P

Very Rudy Slow

(that should wind a few up :))

The word `Fabia` in conjunction with vRS is like a triple word score I hear, eg even slower
