Insuring a modded Jap car

Featured Replies

Trying to help someone out. Can anyone recomend a good reosnably priced insurer on modded Japanese cars

Usual suspects Stuart??

AF

Chris Knott

My son has a 200sx and Adrian Flux is the cheapest for him.

I have used A-plan for a few years now

I guess it depends how modded! Tesco were good for the Scooby but required a tracker to be fitted (although speaking to a couple of people last week it seems that this may be a point of negotiation ;)). Other than that, go with one of the performance car brokers who advertise in Evo. Presumably it's a grey import?

Chris

adrian flux for my skyline, circa 400bhp an import 6 points and all mods declared 550 quid, then i got 9 more, that made insurance impossible.

Greenlight might be worth a shout

Sky insurance were the cheapest for me by nearly £200 for a modded car + young driver.

Sky hmmmm i didnt think that they did mods.

Will have to look them up in May

Thanks for the posts so far.

AF & Knotts are both IMO rather pricey, its a UK car not an Import but is somewhat tweaked ;);).

Most of the usual suspects have been mentioned....

A-Plan, Bell Direct, Greenlight, AF. Keith Michaels are very good with Scoobs.

Stuart.

I used to insure my Impreza through Keith Michaels, always got great quotes.

Gary Moulson was the guy we all dealt with.
