OK, this is not going to be here for too long as I'd like to get the next one organised asap. Choice of dates are Friday 4th or 11th April at either our regular haunt the Star Inn Newbury or our old venue The Leather Bottle Mattingly.

I've added a poll which you can vote for as many options as you like ie. if you can make all dates and dont mind which venue then check ALL the boxes

Steve, leather bottle is or rather was the pub at Mattingley. Last time we had a meet there, it was closed and we moved to the Jekkyl & Hyde which is on the A33.

The Mattingley pub is now a Bluebeckers. I've eaten at other bluebeckers before and it's ok.

Which location do you want? J&H @ A33 or Bluebeckers at Mattingley?

Can only realistically make the 4th of April. Only know the Star so can't really comment on venue.

Edit :- Going on distance alone it's a tough call, the Mattingly pub is only about 20 or 30 miles further to drive from Brum.

4th at the star would suit me (and swmbo) as the daughter is at her mums so i wont have a bored child with me.

I've voted for leatherbottle as its about 15 mins closer, and 12 miles closer, but will still go to the Star if its there

Ive put either date but its work dependant which i wont know till nearer the time

Also put down for Star just because its closer to Catterick (253 miles vs 265 miles:eek:)

But will go to either place if work permits

The 4th of April clashes with Maidstone meet and the 11th is when I am on nights.

11th is a definate no go for me but either venue is ok.

I do like the reception we've been getting at the Star and I do feel he values our business. Perhaps time to negotiate a Brisky Discount??

I think that Leather Bottle/Blubeckers is too much of an eating establishment for a meet. The Star is pretty good and the staff are friendly and I can get to the LB in 10 mins.
