Your car... before and current.

Featured Replies

i came across a picture of my car before i picked it up and gave me the thought of this thread.

post a picture of your car when you first got it and one of the way it currently looks just to how how much different, if any, it is.

at the dealers:

Red grille surround cheapens the car enormously.IMHO.

Pictures do not do Keith's car any favours re the grill but in the flesh it looks fantastic.

Davy

Skodaboy, I much prefer your car without the black lines on the side, just IMHO, but do love the overall colour! :)

The stripes are a bit hit or miss mate, but since buying the car there is another couple of yellow fabia driving around, so had to change the look slightly.

Davy

Ah! I understand now - differentiation! :D

thats it mate- I nearly got a lecture of my grandad last week for speeding past him!

Turns out it was one of the other vrs overtook him and he knew it was not mine when there was no stripes on it.

Davy

Well this is the car the day she made her debut on the UK roads...... Think she had less than 30 miles on the clock when this piccy was taken.

And these were taken a couple of weeks ago with 20000 on the clock.

Theres virtually no difference between these two pics , but they are approx 2 years apart.

First Pic: Just after purchase , July 2005 , 29,300 miles.

Pic 2 : Last year , after a good Meguires session! , roughly 36,000 on the clock.

The only changes are a '****' Halfords silver shorty ariel , a Briskoda sticker and a CZ sticker on the rear window , and thats it. She currently has 38 and a bit thousand on the clock and has just celebrated her 8th birtday , still looks identical to the 2nd pic.

When i picked it up.

There's been a few changes in the middle, and most of the work has been on stuff you can't see ;)

:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

Funny story about this first picture.

Some Skoda "fanatic" (*cough geek) had taken a picture of my car sat in the showroom, before I had even seen it sat there and bought it. Also before I knew her.....:D

And here it is now, after owning it for nearly 3 years, and having spent ££££ on modifications, repairs, new engines, turbo's etc.....

good way to imjprove the fabia's legendary aerodynamics there dave ;)

Don't take this the wrong way but if you were in an accident, the drivers harness could easily end up breaking you back.

The passenger side is (almost) correct, they NEED to fix centrally between the holes in the headrest AND angeling down (up to 45°) to work correctly.

I don't go fast enough for aerodynamics to play a part anymore ;)

@ Gizmo, cheers for the tip. I genuinely didnt know that :)
