would you need to wire in a relay or is the current drawn by the led's not enough to burn the wires out?

There are probably resistors pre wired in place as LED's need much less than 12v.

Personally, not for me at all.

Can see it turning into a fad like the BMW angel eyes, that really looked great on the car it was designed for, but kak on anything else.

Although now going back on my post...i do quite like the one above.

They call the daytime running lights apparently. The Saab versions are quite slick, not far off your Mazda methinks!

Saab and Volvo had (non-LED) daytime running lights years ago - I guess that for Saab it's an update of an old idea.

There was an S5 behind me on the motorway today - I notice the LED lights switch off on one side when that side's indicators are on.

Watch out for the forthcoming Saab 95 headlamp, working on it at the moment and it is going to have LED DRL's........

LED DRL's are now the 'in thing' as opposed to the old filament bulb solutions.......

i really like that mazda 3! think i may do something like that to my fab. think itd be a easy job~?

OK, so they might not be to everyone's taste, but I reckon they might look good on my silver Octy, so I bit the bullet and paid £20 for a pair from fleabay...

The only thing now is, Im not sure how to wire them to the sidelights...

Should I cut the wires? Is there a way of doing it without hacking away at my wiring?

Any help would be appreciated as I want to crack on with them tomoro, I will take pics and post them on to let you lot see the results..

i wouldnt cut them, just fuse the wires to them so if you dont like it the sides will still work and wont set off the bulb failure warning.

I'd use some scotchlok connectors like these

I had my doubts about wether they might look a bit turd, but I can honestly say I love them..

I will try and get a few pics at night, as they really do look the business at night in my opinion.

It's inevitable that they will soon start to appear on Corsas outside the local McD's , just like "Angel eyes" headlights did after BMW introduced them.
