Which is all that matters

opinions are just like assholes anyway - everyone has one, and most of them stink  ;)

I put some on my Vectra B before I sold it - took the headlights apart and glued the strips INSIDE the headlight unit - it was a b*tch of a job becuase the headlights are bonded together with incredibly sticky glue, but they looked wicked. I will probably have a go with the Octy too once I get hold of a spare pair of headlights.

Funny that as your not supposed to take them apart and retrofitting another lightsource inside renders the lamps illegal.................good work...............:thumbdwn:

Ok ok good point, but 90% of that stuff is hidden and no-one knows its there whereas adding a badge from a different motor doesnt do it for me personally but hey each to their own. Guess 1.2 corsa boys with their Sri badges make me frown on it a little

Back on topic the LED's look much better in the dark actually very good indeed but as stated the headlight bulbs need sorting. Post some more pics when you have different bulbs please ShadyAl

ebay. search "led" strips and don't pay more than a tenner for the pair!!!;)

Sorry jonnycatbiscuit, but you won't find them for a tenner.

The ones I bought are the £28 ones on Ebay, as the cheaper ones just didnt look right when I looked into it... (They came with a 'make me an offer' and I got them for £20.)

OK, so I know £20 is quite a lot considering how little they cost, BUT, if you really want to sit there with a soldering iron, and then encase them in a plastic tube, and then make it waterproof to save yourself a few quid then that's up to you... :)

If you are thinking of doing it, I would certainly advise spending a few more quid on them, as in my opinion, the cheaper ones look exactly that. Cheap.

As for wiring them up, it couldn't be more simple. Two wires onto your sidelight wires. I used scotchlock connectors, so no cutting wires was needed. The pain in the neck bit was fixing the strips to the bumper in a neat line. I used tiny cableties as opposed to glueing/masticking them on.

Hope this helps.

Think we are still waiting for the pic's Rich

Sorry been off the forum for a while...

No longer even have this car!!!!

doesnt work for me... too much light leaks into the main cluster making the effect a non effect.

if the seperation was better it might work..

Hmmm, sorry Fabia12v really not feeling the in the headlight look..:)

I know everyone's different, but im glad I chose the bumper to mount them in...

don't have the car anymore anyway!!

I think the point was, that you've badged your car as a vRS when it's clearly not...
