Roomster does Nurburg Ring

Featured Replies

brilliant! :rofl: Noted it was hired in Belgium as I expect all the local hire firms within 50 miles of the Ring know what they might be used for, so have some agreement with the Ring to not let them on. :)

Was far from slow lap too lol

lmfao, thats ace

All mainstream German rental companies now exclude use of their cars on the ring, no matter where the car is rented from. You can drive on the ring but will be uninsured, and if one of their hired spotters sees the car on track then expect a grilling when you return the car, and possibly a worldwide ban from the rental company. Avis are also known for (as it states in their T&Cs) claiming damages for wear and tear which could amound to more than €1K. So dont take a german rental car on track.

I'm guessing that was around an 11 minute lap. Certainly not afraid to get the tyres squealing around the bends. Top effort for a car 5 up. :cool:

That was great !!

Well they do handle well...

Here is is after they finished the lap

Not suprised :rofl:

I found that quite amusing, made me search for loads of other Skoda stuff on there. I liked the advert thats on there too, where they steal the cars from the transporter.

"Whats happened, have we lost power?"

"No, it's called a hill":rofl::rofl::rofl:

Excellent video:thumbup: only a minute behind Clarkson's Jaguar lap time and the roomster had five people in it:eek:

Clarkson wasn't going flat out though and it was a busy day for him. I managed lap times of about 10 mins 15 seconds in a diesel Astra simply because it was absolutely empty apart from Vredestein testing their winter road tyres on the track. I couldn't keep up with their 120d I was using their VW Transporter van as a pace car...

:)

That was great!!!

Pretty nippy things aren't they?!
