A sad hello

Featured Replies

Hello,

This is my first post, I join the site at a particularly sad time in my life.

4 days ago a works van collided with the rear of my lovely 5 month old Octavia II VRS as I was giving way at roundabout. It is currently in for repairs. The impact was to the rear nearside. The boot was dented and scratched, the bumper and rear light cracked and split. Worst of all the exhaust was pushed backward and into the sub frame. It was drivable but you'd have thought I was driving something oikish like a Focus ST the amount of noise the exhaust was making.

Needless to say I am gutted, any sympathy/similar experiences/useful advice would be most welcome.

Apart from that I am overjoyed to now be part of the community.

Cheers.

Hello and Welcome. I'm sorry to hear the sad new about your car, glad you are OK.

Sorry to hear of your troubles but a big 'welcome' to Briskoda :)

Welcome

I hope everything goes ok with the repair.

welcome to briskoda, sorry to hear about your octy mate.

Davy

Sorry for the damages.

Crasched my new (at that time) Civic Type-R a few years ago so i know what you are feeling.

But still; the car will be fine after the repairs, and most important, noone got injured (i hope).

Don't worry about it =)

(BTW, I drive an Octavia RS2 nowdays.)
