i like the spliter i must get round to fitting mine.

i nornaly use yokohama tyres how do you find the Hankooks and how much are they if you dont minde me asking.

car looks nice

Looking good there

Loving the tyres, will be interesting to see how well they grip tomorrow compared to me the skint student running cheap toyos ;)

i like the splitter on silvers cars, really sets the front off nice

Looking great! The splitter is such a good mod!

Do make sure you do review on the tyres! :)

Personally, I'm not keen on carbon effect stuff, but like the pillar trims otherwise. :)

I've only just fitted them this aft ready for some fun tomorrow, but a mate who used to track an Ariel Atom 330 preferred them over R888's and A048's. Much better in the wet and a more predictable breakaway in the dry. I've used a lot of Hankook over the years and never been disappointed. First time with these though and they're a track focussed design, so I expect them to be harsh on the road like my old Bridgestone RE070's on the Scoob. The sidewalls seem reassuringly rigid. Paid £70 a corner, fitted.

I know what you're saying over the carbon effect and I did consider matt black, but the ch@v in me won :D

Looks good.

I "personally" like the Carbon B Pillar trims...Whats the rear flaps you have on the car then?

I have standard Skoda ones...

Looking great especially on a silver car as said

The flaps are Golf ones from ECP @ £12.

The carbon b-pillars are just carbon-effect vinyl, applied by me, and to be re-applied a bit neater tomorrow by my signwriting mate :D

Do the mudflaps fits straight on?

Be interesting to see how those tyres fair and to see a review.

Does the LCR splitter need to be cut or modded before fitting? Easy to fit?!

Flaps go straight on. If you bend down and look underneath they don't quite follow the line of the bumper, but how many people will be bending down to check ?

I'll let you know about the tyres, but a mate who used them on his Ariel Atom 330 loved them, preferring them to R888's and A048's. They're still a bit green and I had a slide on my way to w*rk this evening, but then again, I usually do :D 60 miles on the motorway en-route to the track tomorrow should get some heat through them to start expelling the oil from the surface and by then end of tomorrow I expect they'll be coming on song.

The LCR splitter needs two small notches cutting into it where it won't be seen to allow it to bend a little to fit the cars width, and about 30mm cutting off to line it up flush with the bumper edge in the wheel-arch. There are also two lugs in the middle which need trimming back about 20mm to get the height right at the front. I fitted it with 8x stainless 1"M8 self-tappers, 6 of those with 1"M6 stainless washers, and some trim tape.

Wicked looking tyres - would be interested to know how they compare to T1-R's if you've had them in the past?

I had T1S's on my Scoob for a while. I used them as winter tyres as the Bridgestone RE070's are lethal in anything but the dry, but amazing in the dry ! The Toyo's were pretty good, but would have been ripped to bits on Blyton's abrasive surface. I chose these partly on my mates recommendation, partly on price, but mainly on the tread pattern. Having an almost slick shoulder to the tyre will give less break-up when I start sliding it around the hairpin. This is what a mate did to some Wanli Ditchfinders in 9 laps (10 miles), and they have a Toyo style 'V' tread pattern....

Wanli Ditchfinders .

Wow! I am SO surprised that Nankang didn't take Wanli to court for copying their tyre model! :D

There isn't much in the way of copyright in the far east :D Unless you're called Sony anyway ;)

Is the LCR splitter the same for the octy and fabia ?

And its a seat part ?

Matt

The splitter is for the Seat Leon Cupra R, so the same one tends to get put on many cars, including Octavia's and even Superb's.

£22 from Seat dealers, plus some stainless self-tappers and washers and 1/2m of trim tape.

Oh, and a hacksaw :D and a drill :D

Will look forward to hearing how the tyres proform as i have the same tyres coming on my new (100 miles old) rims when i collect them next week.I have heard good things about these especially as they are the new style.

They are RS 2?

Trimming the edges for the wheel arch and the lugs for the heights at the front.

Well, the tyres did very well indeed with the sturdy shoulders holding up well to Blyton's nasty hairpin. There's a little graining to the surface and some wear, but the minimal tread to the outer edge has performed as I expected. They were a bit 'green' first thing but as I got some heat into them they started to come on song and were very grippy. When the rain arrived the grip on the track was abysmal with cars spinning off all over the place. Again, they impressed with their cornering abilities, but it was difficult getting power down out of bends, although everyone was struggling with this, even the 4WD Scooby's.
