Well, the tyres did very well indeed with the sturdy shoulders holding up well to Blyton's nasty hairpin. There's a little graining to the surface and some wear, but the minimal tread to the outer edge has performed as I expected. They were a bit 'green' first thing but as I got some heat into them they started to come on song and were very grippy. When the rain arrived the grip on the track was abysmal with cars spinning off all over the place. Again, they impressed with their cornering abilities, but it was difficult getting power down out of bends, although everyone was struggling with this, even the 4WD Scooby's.

And in the same amount of time my toyos shreaded themselves :D Possibly down to the way i was cornering, i was going far too hard in the long sweeping right handers :o

Those tyres you had looked perfect and i can now see why the toyos are not suited with the many thread cuts around the outside edge

learnt alot today ;)

It was slippery today, i was on when it just started raining and that dark green 205 was having trouble keeping on the track

For the first 1/2 hour after the rain many people found it hard. They've usually been driving close to the limits of the car or themselves, add a film of water to lubricate things and their brains often take a while to work out why they can't go as fast :D

IIRC Chris_GB runs these too - and rates them very highly

Can we get some close ups of the vinyl? Did you tuck it behind the window seals?

Not 'til I've done the other side

And no, it's cut up to the start of the roll away of the metal. It's quite thick material and has a metal content, so folding it and expecting it to stay there is a no-go.

My mate is reapplying it neater in a few days time and I'll take some better pics then.

The N/S front always takes the biggest battering through the hairpin....

Maybe Gary could post up pics of his R1R's for comparison, but he was out a lot more than me.
