Not happy with Bodyshop & Vindis

Featured Replies

definately mate take it back that is disusting buddy i always check around my car if it goes anywhere no one has respect anymore if you did it to their car jesus!!! :)

That looks filthy mate. I could understand if they were taking the dash out or something but not when working on the bumper.

If its like the vw bumper to remove there is no need to be in the car can onlt assume like above the stored the bumper inside. A urine take for a car that is white fabric.

I would not accept that at all. I know where the garage is, i think they used your car to drive over to the services to buy some lunch. Did you check the mileage before you dropped it off?

So it went into an actual dealership and they sent it out to a body shop ???

They can't come the ''its nothing to do with '' carp.

The buck begins and ends with them regards less whether they contract the body work out.

wots the outcome they sorted it?

I'd say that that is unacceptable. It also begs the question that if they are that slapdash with the bits you can see, what the hell to do to the bits that you can't.

......."Oy, mate pass us that lump hammer over there - this bumper don't fit right...." :smash:

There is a Skoda dealer at Little Downham near Ely, so not too far away. Haven't had too much to do with them, only a service but their charges are much lower than Vindis and they get good reviews on this site.

Last time my car went to Vindis was for water leaks which they didn't fix but managed to get black marks all over the back seats. Also I have a creaking noise coming from somewhere that they said was hatch struts and they had put new ones on but they clearly hadn't and noise is still there.

I too can't be bothered with the hassle of dealing with them any more, I usually spend most of the day trying to get through on the phone. If you leave a message they never call back and it's hard for me to get my car in there in opening hours and they always want to keep it 2-3 days. I will fix the leaks myself and get ALS to look at the noise next time it goes there for service.

I would write a letter to Skoda UK, and cc every car magazine you can get your hands on. Their reputation management is obviously non-existent and they have permanently lost plenty of ££££ from this.

A letter to Watchdog is also worthwhile and make sure they know about it. Be VERY clear as to your expectations from them. I would aim for a full detail, paint correction, seat cleaning the lot and nothing less.

I would second that garage in Little Downham. Its the smallest dealership i've ever seen but that means it has a local, friendly feel.

All i would do mate is tell face 2 face the pain your going through get them cleaned and give them the bill

Hi mate, im sorry to hear of your service with Vindis. We are located at Peterborough (wings Skoda) and your more than welcome to come here if you need anything. My name is Dan and Ill make sure your car is spotless before it leaves us ;)

If the bodywork was contracted out by a company it is their responsibility to ensure the vehicle is clean. its just sloppy work. i've had a few customers coming to me from that area. We use a decent bodyshop and we've never had any issues. anyway we check teh cars before they're handed back to the customer.

If you need us we're here.

Kind Regards

Dan (Sales)

no worries mate, your more than welcome. I think the book stops with the garage you booked it in with, it isnt VW problem to clean it, it should all be checked before being handed to you.

I had an issue last week with my dealer, I didnt go off at them, but put across how angry I was. They never adimited to causing the damage, but are willing to correct it as a matter of "good will".

Im giving them a chance first off to sort it, if not then action will be taken against them.

I hope you mention you have put your concerns on a Skoda Forum.

Shame Im in Norwich Dan, or Id come over there too :)
