Currys delivered my new TV this morning , plugged it in this afternoon , and this is what i get :mad:, the LCD screen seems to be cracked internally , not a happy bunny

awaiting phone call next week some time to arrange for collection and delivery of another new one :(

the box and set are unmarked , but some of the polystyrene packing blocks are broken , which suggests maybe that it has been dropped

thank god i didn't unpack it by myself

I've rarely heard of LCDs or plasmas breaking during transit. They must have really been brutal with it :thumbdwn:

It's obvious from the clear bezel on the surround, I'd have a punt at model KDL-40X2000/2500/3000, my god, how anal:O

Judging by the single point on the screen where the cracks radiate something could have been dropped ON it corner first when stored flat.

Hopefully it will be sorted ASAP but it still feels like a kick in the gonads does it not :thumbdwn:

on closer inspection of the box and packing whilst i was putting it away , it looks like something has been dropped on the top of the box in the middle , this area has the smashed up polystyrene block in it , the delivery men said they were having trouble with the roller shutter door on the van , and i did hear it slam closed at a rate of knots , whether this was onto the box i couldn't say , but they said that they couldn't do anymore deliveries until the door was fixed , 25 more drops on the van :eek:

gutted a bit , as i have waited for it to come before breaking out the PS3 and GT5 game :(

when you get your new one, where you sign for it cross out "received in good condition" and write "damaged" if the driver gets funny about it tell him that if its not damaged when you try it out later they will have nothing to worry about, if it is then its on the paperwork!! just a tip from the inside

I always write not checked on the paperwork for anything that gets delivered
