mileage from a tank of fuel??

Featured Replies

I drive very gently (as a rule) in a 1.9 TDI 130hp estate.

My last fill-up was fairly typical; 479 miles for 39.5 litres, which works out as 650 for so for the whole tank (not that one would do that, of course...)

As I said, I drive very gently. Driving hard gives me no pleasure, and I therefore begrudge spending money on it. I got the 130hp car because I like to have a bit of oomph put by. Just in case, like.

I'm getting 450+ miles out of my V6, all local driving, but that is £75 a fill up!

How big is the tank on a Mk1 Octy??

55litres

My mapped vrs on a daily run to work and back, 12 miles travelling twisty B roads got about 250-270 more if i cruized which is very rare i would see 300-330miles. Now that i have the ST focus i see 230 to a tank back in forth to work, not been on a run yet but losing 30 odd miles isn't bad for 2.5 litre and these figures are based on 99ron @ 119p.

I dont see the point and buying a Hot Hatch, modding it and then driving like a granny if you can't afford to run the car you have without serious compromises on driving then get the bus.
