Handling day thanks

Featured Replies

Well a big thanks goes out to Paul for organising a great event and to Conedodgers for setting it up!

Shame I had to finish earlier than hoped, but I really enjoyed my little thrash around and I'm being told that Steff did too. ;)

Yes, cheers Paul.

Another great Briskoda day. :D

Has anyone got any pics of the action.

Give us a chance. :P

Jon took his usual 100's so I'm sure there will be some soon.

Also, watch out for an amusing video clip ;)

 Yup - great day - thanks for organising it! Never knew how much fun you could make an Octy by introducing the handbrake

Cheers guys... thanks again to Declan and Conedodgers for setting up the venue!

:D

Thanks to all who came and made it a fun packed day - cant wait for all the amusing pics / vids to surface.... who says drift is for RWD only?

Im sooooooo gutted i missed it :(

Hi there,

Declan here, you guys looked like were having lots of fun out there, glad you found the handbrake came in handy  parking in Sainsbury's will never be the same again :D

If anyone gets some nice pictures of suitably sideways Skoda's that I can stick up on our website or link to that'd be great. They'd also be handy to show to a few doubters who say you can't have fun in a FWD.

Glad you all enjoyed it, hope to see you all again soon

Captain Sideways - we all had great fun. Many many thanks to you and Paul for the organisation, and to everyone else for turning up and making it the usual mix of Briskoda bonhomie and fast cars. Looking forward to pics and vids too myself - it's even more detached than track work - at least on the track there is somebody else to compare yourself with - on the handling course, you're on your own...

Thanks again - enjoy the karting tonight, Northern monkeys

Many thanks to Paul for organising the day , and to Declan and the boys for everything ....................Must be honest ...........much more fun than I thought it was going to be

You definately can have a lot of fun in a front wheeled drive ..........and an awful lot of smoke :D

Great day ..........thanks again !

sorry to miss u lot but can u organise a meet up somewhere near london next time please

Several were from London  !, so no excuses next time.......It's only an hour from Heathrow.

You missed lots of :D:D:D 's

I can't wait to see some Video footage Smokin!!!!! ,

ps I have the outboard video clips here of most of you. Mail me your car details (I can't remember names) and I'll do my best to post em to you, bigish files by the way in AVI format. Unless someone can host them for everybody or put it all together.

A few of Pauls Smokin' Octy! :D

Schmokin' indeed

Many thanks to Declan and Paul for a fun day.

Still have the taste of burnt rubber fragments between me :D;)

Hope the amount of rubber left at the end of the day didn't pose a problem for the return trip, Paul ;)

And, IMHO, I think we've had the two "extremes" - very fast track day with long straights, and very twisty coney one. Could the next one be a nice compromise? (not digging at brunters or today's events whatsoever ) :)

A big  for Paul for organising and Declan for the cones!

Great day out....had a great time using the handbrake round the course and putting faces to names.

Just need a couple of new front arch liners but I've been reliably informed that "real men" don't need them. ;)

Also a big thanks to Dave for supplying me with food and drink....cheers M8!

There was after a couple of runs, yeah!

Thanks  Great day even as a spectator and took quite a few pics which I'll put up later. Oh, and thanks to Jane for helping us relay the key back to Declan when we left :D

Chris

Thanks to Declan and Conedodgers for an enjoyable day. My tyres look a bit knackered now though.

At least you managed to get home alright Graeme.

Thanks to all for a great day out, Car looks kind a nice on the drive with 4 new tyres !!

Guess you can gather from that I wont be defecting !!

What? No diesel, Stu?

hey Luke here, wasnt driving yesterday but was in the black mr2 with rob.

i have to say you lot out did your selves yesterday.. i was expecting a load of old woman style fwd driving and zero sideways action from you lot and you proved me very very wrong! WELL DONE!!!

so has the drifting bug caught any of you? did any of you get rides in any of the rwd cars? or even drives?

BIG thanks to declan for organising and setting up everything once again! (see ya next sat)

it would be nice to see some of you at another drift day again. maybe with some "drift shi**ers" of your own??

(drift shi**ers.. in joke about cheap dori action cars :) )

what about some of the older rwd skoda's?

well nice to see you lot there and maybe again?
