Featured Replies

as above everyone whats the so called official mileage per year...mine is an 06 plate registered end of june 2006 and i am on 16500 just wondere if that is below average mileage ? cheers

When you sell it the dealers tell you it’s 10K per annum, when you buy they will tell you it’s about 12K per annum:D

A bloke at work bought his wife a new small Peugeot 2 years ago because she wittered about having old cars...

I asked how his car was yesterday, and he said it had only done 1400 miles, because she is scared to drive it in case she scratches it.....

Bloody Women.....

theres a guy at my work with an 04 ibiza 1.4 sport with 6k on it

You whinge if they do scratch it, you whinge if they don’t. Talk about women being fickle!!

Mines June 06 registered and now coming upto 44000 miles.

mine is a july 05 and has around 50k, I seem to average about 18k per year.

I think the general average is now around 15k per year.

Not for much longer if fuel prices continue to go up!

I'd agree, the 10k and 12k "averages" seem low to me as well!

Mines an 04 with 23k, but the work van is a 55 with 63k!

When I got mine almost 2 years ago it had only 18,500 on it.

It's just past 40K now ... Think I'm doing about 13-14K per year.

I'm sure that at one point it was generally accepted that 20k for a diesel or 12k for a petrol was average for the year. But I think people are driving more now as public transport gets increasingly awful and expensive.

In my last job I was averaging 26.5k a year. It's amazing how much a 45 mile daily commute adds up to over a year!

I've had my vrs since August last year and I've only done 7k so far!

I bought mine last August 04 plate with 12 k on it now just over 16.5k!

Mines sept 05 and is coming up on 27k....bought it at 16k 8mnths ago tho.........lol

mine is 12 months old, and I've done 42,000 miles!

my mum+dad just bought a three years old astra automatic (ex-motobility car) and it has an astonisting 4,000 miles on it!

I think the mileage alters as the car goes older. I read it somewhere that in the first three years the average is 14k, then drops to 12k for the next three, then t0k after that.

I think :S

thanks everyone for all your views on this its amazing how so many different people have different responses he he is my fabia under mileage then or over for the year as said previous 06 plate june 2006 16,500 miles cheers

One of the blokes at my work changes his car every 12 months and only does around 3K.

We see him in his car about 3 times a year, he gets the bus everywhere.

We always ask him why he drives and his response is, its always there if I need it in an emergeny.

He loses so much money, but just says, I have nothing else to spend it on.

Sorry, we wandered off topic a bit:). Given that your car is coming up to 2 years old, that would be about 9K a year? I would think that by any definition this is below average mileage.

Not really an argument to that is there. Wish I had that luxuary :(

as above 10-12k annually is pretty much average.

Around 16K a year, as opposed to da wife, who covers less in a week than I cover in a day.

13k since i got the car last may.
