Where the end of the battery ends that's where the duct ends mate

Can you measure the air flow with that torquecapp. Would be good to see the before and after air flow, then its pretty simple to calculate rough gains

Certainly will give it a go mate

Few driving vids showing the ITG sound

So after a couple of days what are my impressions?

The car feels like it has a bit more torque in the mid range, supercharge whine has increased and the BOV sound has increased.

Am I happy with it......................happy as Larry

Got my ELM327 - managed to get it working, I decided to change the car's weight in the profile and since then Torque will not connect to the adapter. Got a Google Nexus One. Any tips?

Did you try restarting your phone ? Bluetooth definitely on ?

Well I tested out the 40-60 MPH part on Torque today in third gear on private road with a flat surface, got the below result :

40to60.png

Was trying to find out the standard vRS 40-60mph time but couldn't (anyone help me out or fancy doing one using Torque?). I did a search online to see what cars did it in similar times and found this :

2002 Maserati Spyder Cambiocorsa l 2.20 s

2001 Holden GTS R (Aus) l 2.20 s

2003 Nissan 350Z Track l 2.20 s

1987 Buick Regal Grand National GNX l 2.20 s

2007 Acura TL Type-S l 2.20 s

2007 Lexus IS 350 l 2.21 s

1994 BMW 850 CSi l 2.21 s

1969 Dodge Super Bee 383 l 2.24 s

2002 Subaru Impreza WRX Sedan AccessECU1 l 2.29 s

From this website (not sure what gear they were using though)

And also found these (using third gear) :

2008 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG l 2.5 s

2008 BMW M3 l 3.0 s

Found here

Not sure how good my time is stacked up against the Revo/Shark boys, Jonny/Si - fancy testing yours ?

Yeah all done correct and tried various things. No joy. I've also found through the Torque site that this specific device the majority are unreliable. When you connect do you get a password field in order to connect? Cause mine does pair but doesn't want to connect.

Strange place to feed the cold air from since you have a cold air feed already from the oem..

Looks good though! Noticed any differences in your intake temps? The highest ive managed to get mines to is 21°C giving it the beans to 4th gear. Not tried the standard airbox as I cba putting it back in haha. I'll have to get it sorted to see if theres even a difference.

Hi great post, what replacement bulbs did you use for the headlights? are they any better.

I got it the first time I paired the device but don't now. Mine has been pretty reliable so far

Because the filter is quite large the hosing won't connect to the OEM feed :(. Temps seem to be lower if anything

Thanks :) they are Ultra H7 bulbs (about £10 from eBay). They are much white and seem a little brighter than OEM to me

Whilst i really rate the ITG filters, i wont be going for that version as it looks even more heath robinson than the Forge option.

My ITG will utilise the front slam panel intake point, but will be more in line with the flow.

Something like this here

elise-s1-itg-maxogen-induction-system-carbon-fibre.jpg

But im thinking of this kind of filter housing

http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSi_oPH4Rir4zCt7yRQL6vVpwhjg7fH6f9NWyzlBbzfiIG0QjWrNiR3Avtgaw

and for what its worth, ive taken the Forge intake off and sold it and no noticed zero difference in performance

I'd of loved to go for that one but for £400+ I really couldn't justify it

Well I spent the day up at Santa Pod today even though it was rather frosty and chilly! I didn't even know 6am existed when my alarm went off! Got to the gates just before 8am, paid up, signed on and waited…..and waited……and waited some more.

The track finally opened at 11:40 and was still a little damp so traction starting was a bit of a problem. Anyway, my times are as per below :

podtimes.jpg

Not sure if my reaction time was down to wheel spin as I thought I was quicker reacting than that. I reckon with 215 tyres (like the Cupra/Boc) and a drier track I could of cut another 0.1-0.2 off the time. Traction control was on every single run and they were switched between sport mode and manual.

So new best time is 14.55 @ 97.28 MPH which I'm happy with :)

Cars beaten today :

Ford Focus 1.8

Seat Ibiza Cupra R

MG ZS 2.5 v6

Civic Type R

Polo GTi TSi

Can't remember if there were any others!

Pictures are thanks to Blackett Photography

Ill add you to the 1/4 mile leader boards mate

Legend :)

Zooming in on the photos looks like the rear headrests arent there. Interior removed?

Damp tracks are a pain in the ass, really frustrating to get the car off the line, but i guess cancelling that effect somewhat would be the cool temps which reduce will make more power and reduce heatsoak

All interior intact and in the car :)

Very good point
