  • Please, please, please Skoda....leave the looks of the Yeti alone. Are these god awful pictures enough evidence not to change. The styling, practicality, and just sheer driving experience of the Yeti

  • Too Fussy and Pretty for me. Might look OK in pink for the ladies.

But it's a Pug!!

I was just referring to the looks Graham. Certainly not to owning one, as 10 to 1 you'll have electrical problems before the warranty runs out, if indeed not much sooner. :giggle:

Certainly looks OK.

I'd still not buy a Peugeot though. :)

The model number refers to the date(age) of the design :)

Hmmmm... a bit like my Yeti:-

Headlamp module failure, heated seats failure (Passenger side x1, drivers side twice), brake light failure (twice) drivers door window short term failure thanks to rain water entering motor assay, Columbus lock up, fuel filler door reluctant to unlock,

Mechanical failures: rear washer failure, coolant leak from front of engine, clutch squeal, drivers door check strap loose.

And I'm a very careful owner - to the point of obsession! Can't say I'm terribly impressed with Skoda reliability at the moment!

There's the problem John. Like a cat your Yeti has realised he is King of the Pack and you're the menial, whereas if you abuse him a bit he gets to know his place, and doesn't break down or have faults. :giggle:

But 9 millions, it looks like EVERY OTHER so-called SUV in the land, Tiguan, Sportage, Mokka, CRV, rav, and so on and on ad nauseam.

In fact I'd expect Llanigrewsome to shout in big red capitals that it's a very bad photofit of a Tiguan, and to do it pretty soon.

G

Sorry to disappoint you Georgie, but even the best photo****ter couldn't make a Tiguan look like that!

LOL. (and choking!!). One of your better jibes!!

Its not bad looking, definitely in the same sort of class as the Mokka and the pictures of the baby thing from VW

Is it me or does it look as though there is not to much ground clearance?

Apart from being bland and generic I have never really had anything against Peugeot's, a friend of mine had several and they always seemed ok, I quite liked the engine of there cross over (3008?) when testing before getting the Yeti, it was the bland look and the MASSIVE centre column(they should have just dived the car into two) that put me off.

Take the badges off and it looks like any other cloned soft roader, catch it in the rong light and it looks just like a photoshopped ..............1512040.gif

Best copy of a Vauxhall Mokka i,ve seen, and according to reports there is no 4wd version.

Nah, the Mokka is a really freaky looking thing. It has a roof the size of a postage stamp yet has the footprint of a Yeti. So it looks very pinched. Least this Pug has a proper sized roof - albeit one (in true mad Pug tradition) made of glass that can't open. Daft.

Too Fussy and Pretty for me.

Might look OK in pink for the ladies.

With the pink fluffy steering wheel cover, pink fluffy dice and cow print seat covers from sk4gw's 4x4 Yeti :giggle: giggle: giggle:

Bobdog, can i borrow the key to your corner?

Ideal for us birders: I can, at least, vouch for that, using a 3008 thus equipped for birdwatching outings.

A colleague at work seems to get pug after pug after pug (Mrs like em apparently), swears by them... also seems to swear a lot at them, electric faults, trim falling off etc. Having said all that as far as cars go he's as knowledgeable as a retarded racing snail (possibly escargot)

it looks very like a vauxhall mokka.

I had a few pugs years ago, 205, 405, 406 etc, they seemed to have lost there appeal now though

The 2008 is based on the 208 floorpan, so compared to a Yeti will be a lot smaller. it would be like Skoda releasing one based on the Fabia platform unlike the Yeti which was built on the Octavia MK2 platform. Another rear picture below.

From that view, Manny, and to quote someone else " It's fugly"

Bowfin maybe more than just fugly.

Saying that,

You never see how your car looks when driving it unless looking in big shop windows at yourself or spotting another similar model.

Bowfin, a bit like minging or mockit. Fugly is a combination of ugly and a word beginning with f
