Need code for standard Radio, Any members help?

Recommended Posts

I Picked up my new vrs last night, sadly the previous owner must have had a different radio or somthing in and put the standard one back in to sell it so it keeps asking for the code now.

I have no idea what the code is and the previous owner doesnt know it either

i dont have the radio booklet or anything either to check so wonder if anyone has access to the information to get the code, i'll happily pay etc :)

Thanks.

Replace it, it's terrible anyway.

Its an option i suppose, i just like the OEM look, i replaced it previously with the MFD1 but wont be getting one of them untill after christmas at least.

If someone can get me the code for a few drinking tokens then its worth it even if it's only temporary.

I had to replace my fabia radio last summer. I discovered that the car and not the radio itself retains the code and once a radio has been paired the car will accept it if reconnected so you shouldn't have to re-enter a code. If it doesn't work then possibly it was never used in your particular car. In my case I only wanted a basic radio and I bought a cheap early fabia one for £3.50 on ebay. When connected it worked straight off with no code so I assume the early/simple ones (2001 ?) do not use a code at all.

Just been to the dealers to get a replacement service history book, seems a shame as my car has full service history but no book or proof!

So they've got me a replacement history book, I asked them about the radio code and they said they had no log of it etc but it costs £25+vat to get it if I wanted it.

Call a soda dealer, they should have a radio code for your registration.

A soda dealer is no good. He wants a radio code not a bottle of pop :D
