Can anyone supply the part numbers for the 8 bolts that attach the rear axle to the chassis, my garage needs them in order to sort out the tracking.

Cheers

Hi Guys

I need the part numbers for the driver and passenger front door window motors on a 2003 Octavia mk1.

Regards, Mike

A few different ones available, best bet is to strip doors down and get the part numbers off the motors on your car

038 906 051 is the right one. (Possible with A letter after code) When there is C letter after number code its for diesel engines (3,0 bar). Original is 2,5 Bar. 3,0 Bar Map sensor will fit with litlle modifications with sealing and work. But this gives a possibility of a overboost becauce ECU sees a lover boost levels than actually there is. With remapped cars this is not a good idea. In here 2,5Bar sensor is 2 times more expensive than the 3,0 Bar sensor. This info I got from a local dealer. I ordered the original 2,5 Bar emoticon-0140-rofl.gif

Need a 12mm port, 2.5 bar MAP sensor for octy mk1 vrs, dealers and skodaparts couldn't answer the phone.  This one ends in B, assume that's the revision, doesn't have my car in the list, but it will be ok won't it?  Part number is correct?

Rear number plate lenses seem to be an issue as the screws rust in, preventing an easy bulb change. Remove the hatch liner and drill out, removing the shroud first (4 x Torx screws).

VW part number for one lens is W1H5 943 119. Complete with 2 x self-tappers and washers. £4.26 +VAT, not normally held in local stock but on 24 hr delivery from warehouse. Parts guy seem to think it's a Jetta/Vento part.

Hi, It's been a while since I posted on here.  My trusty 2010 (MY2011) Octavia FL Scout is still going strong.  It's coming up for 5 years old now and has not had a single issue in that time.  My beloved wife has managed to drop something on the bonnet, which has scratched the front emblem badge quite badly and I'd like to replace it.  The rear badge also had a few marks, so I bought 2 replacement badges from ebay, not realising that the diameter of the front badge is a bit larger on the FL MK2 Octavia and the front and rear badges are not interchangeable.  Does anyone know:

  1. What is the correct part number for the front badge for a Mk 2 FL (2011) Octavia?
  2. Where I can buy one, other than pay through the nose through my local NZ dealer?

The quality of the ebay knock off for the rear looks pretty good to me, so if I could find an equivalent for the front, I'd be willing to give it a try, but failing that will go for OEM.

Thanks,

Simon

I recently bought a Skoda Octavia 2000 TDI 4WD here in Norway. It was a good price but it did have a few problems. Namely all the electrics on the front passenger door (front right) does not respond; central locking, the electric mirror does not function (moving or heating) or the electric window. The electric window sometime works for the control on the door. I have had the door card off and inspected the door control and could not see any obvious damage and have also looked at the cable boot. Again with no obvious signs of damage. The door card had clearly been removed before and a less than adequate job was done when replacing. The seal and insulation looked dodgy so I am not the first to be here.

I think the door controller is at fault since the door receives power to run the window (albeit intermittently) but I can't seem the find the part I want. Again I am not expert in the matters so I am more than happy to listen to alternatives...

Right, in case anyone wants to know for future reference, I just got front and rear shocks for my mk1 Octavia vRS estate (1u5) from TPS in Trafford Park.

They were really helpful and got me the OEM part numbers and the part number for the front struts from their FourPlus economy range.

Fronts
1J0413031CM - Gen VAG Skoda part number (£200 pair)
JZW413031N - Gen VAG FourPlus economy range (£86 pair)

Rears
1J9513025A Superseded by 1J9513025E (Sachs on sticker) - Gen VAG Skoda part number (£100 pair)

I ended up going for the FourPlus on the fronts. Asked the guy why anyone would not go for them and he didn't really have a good answer.
He showed me the listing on the computer and both front shocks are for the PR-G85 suspension set up, and they DO HAVE the mounting bracket for the drop links on the vRS.

Thanks to Wino for steering me in the direction of TPS.
I had read somewhere on the forum that people were having trouble shopping there as they were clamping down on retail customers, but Trafford were really helpful to me.

I'll post back once I've had the parts fitted with the verdict on the FourPlus parts...

I'm really no expert!

I've only had a Skoda for a month, but what I have learned is that TPS (The Parts Specialist) are probably the best place to go if you want the right part for the car (I wasted a lot of time with after market shocks).

Having said that, with your car having standard (not sports) suspension (correct me if I'm wrong anyone), you may find standard springs pretty cheap on CarParts4Less - that's where I get most of my stuff from these days...

http://www.carparts4less.co.uk/car-springs

They list two different rear springs (£37 / £45) and one front spring (£44) all Sachs...
