  1. Seriously considering buying one of these. Am I right in thinking these are only available in 60hp? Day
  2. If I were you, i'd get it replaced as soon as. Go to a specialist who have the correct tooling. You need the special locking collar to press the locking ring and bearing in properly. Day
  3. I would advise against using the laser tool, it is of very poor quality. I had to return mine and purchase a Sykes-Pickavant kit to finish the job. However, you do have to use correct tool to use it. Using a press won't do the job correctly as it could damage the bearing. The only thing to hold the bearing in place is the locking ring on the back of the bearing. Incorrect fitting of the bearing can damage the locking ring. Day
  4. Hey I dont need to be fooled. I'm not saying one is better than the other. The composition may be different, the distillation process may be different. But in the end the octane rating is still the same. Had a look at numerous data sheets and comparisons on websites. Each one states different information. Day
  5. Got stuck at work, had a machine shut down so had to get it back into production. Day
  6. Caustic soda lol. Breaks the carbon down a treat. We use it at work (glass factory) to clean the moulds which are covered in a graphite based lubricant. Everything comes up spotless. Day
  7. Some cars react differently to momentum99 / Shell V Power. Momentum contains 5% ethanol aswell as other alcohol based elements. Shell V Power contains minute amounts of these chemicals. Shell however contains certain additives similar to redex for a cleaner injection system. Also, the base petrol from which Vpower is produced is of a higher quality than that of momentum. Seen reports of some cars having hissy fits when they've been run on one type of fuel and then switched to another. Day
  8. Everyone has their own acceptable limits. Bearing in mind a turbo with no oil versus one with oil will alter the play. Cant the garretts be rebuilt quite cheaply? Day
  9. The top mount should come in two parts as in the picture. Did you only use one part? Day
  10. Any videos of the actual car in action? Any drive bys? Day
  11. I've never had any sort of finance/loan or anything like such so cant really comment. Day
  12. Its good that finance companies are taking a stricter approach. Most companies are too quick to levy people with debt. Same goes for these payday loans. They need banning. Day
  13. Depends how much has broken away. If its all rotten they wont have no material to join. They might be able to patch it up though. Rust isnt the easiest thing to weld together haha :P Day
  14. Didnt know if it used a concentric slave like the diesels Day
  15. You should be able to have it welded/bodged if there's enough material. Day
  16. Sounds like the silencer has started to break up. Day
  17. The jap enthusiast in me votes for the skyline. But it just shows how pure brute force from the SLS and Viper can cause some damage. Day
  18. Older on a newer car. Not the other way round I think lol Day Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 4
  19. Thanks. Already following the thread Day Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 4
  20. A friend took his auris in recently. Can't remember the exact figure but it was over £1000 less than what they originally quoted. They'll still try to screw you over Day Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 4
  21. Could be something as simple as a gasket Day
  22. Currently got a Pd100 fabia and I fancy a change. I'm not doing a long commute anymore and I fancy something more interesting to drive. Are the 2.0's any good? The 1.4 seems a little underpowered. What are the 1.4tdi's like to live with? Any thoughts/comments appreciated! Thanks Day Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 4
  23. They offered £2575, take into account they'll knock you down a few hundred. Admin fees etc. You'll be lucky to leave with much over £2000. Day
