Unable to Download Digital Certificate in MySkoda
I was able to download a digital certificate just now. It shows the car's mileage as it was roughly a month ago.

My skoda app. failed
If you have a backup of your iPhone made using iTunes on a PC or Mac, it may be easy enough to install an older version of an app. If you have never taken an iTunes backup, you are probably out of luck unless you are technical enough to do difficult things such as jailbreaking the phone (and if you were, you wouldn't be asking here). Instructions here for the iTunes method: Hexnode BlogsHow to downgrade apps in iOS and Android?Learn why corporates sometimes feel the need to downgrade apps, the different ways to downgrade apps in iOS and Android devices and the need for a UEM.

MIB3 map update
OTA updates for us were monthly throughout last year. Subscription was, and still is, in place. I think there is a difference betrween a full release of Europe-wide maps, twice a year, and more frequent OTA updates covering a lesser area. Hence the trick of forcing an OTA update by entering a destination very far away.

MIB3 map update
After being stuck on map version 25.1 since January, our MIB3 finally updated itself OTA to 25.5 today. (UK). Better late than never, eh, Skoda.

Soundproofing
Apologies for a late reply, but you might want to consider a specialised car soundproofing company using specialised and well-tested materials: Noisekillers LimitedSkoda Soundproofing KitsBy focusing on key areas of your vehicle, our Skoda Soundproofing Kits provide comprehensive noise reduction that results in a calm, quiet drive. - either to do it yourself or for them (or their associated companies) to fit. Note, though, the one review of the Karoq kit, which says there is already factory-fit soundproofing inside the rear wheel arches.

My ŠKODA App - Send Route
Yes, it's working again here too. However, my version of the app, updated today, is 8.3.0 (Android). Not to my surprise, the release notes say nothing of having fixed this bug. These are software developers who do not like admitting to their past mistakes. Eiither that or it was a back-end problem. May I ask what map version people have, assuming you get over-the-air map updates? Mine is still stuck on 25.1. Last year it updated monthly; no updates now for four months.

Maintaining battery while car is not driven for 4 weeks
That might actually make things worse. Many modern cars charge the battery only when the car is going downhill or decelerating to a stop, or else when the state of charge is very poor. The purpose of this is to save a bit of fuel, as the alternator is harder to turn when it is called on to produce electricity.

convenience window closing stopped working yesterday
He says he has already done that.

convenience window closing stopped working yesterday
Change the key battery. Even if that is not the fix, you need to rule it out as the easy first step.

My ŠKODA App - Send Route
It's not working here either. Moreover, the over-the-air map updates have not worked since January. I reckon it's all borked again. No surprise there, in view of Skoda's past incompetence with all things online.

Windshield glass VLT
Up to 30% opacity (i.e. 70% light transmission) is normal for glass. Some, but not all, windscreen replacement companies may have a light transmission meter if you want exact figures. But it may not be worth the effort of finding one, as any added film will very likely take them below the legal limit.

Lights reset
On ours (MIB3 / 0330) there is no top-level menu called CAR but there is one called Vehicle. Clicking on the gear icon there brings up a sub-menu which is probably what you are referring to. It does not contain a Reset item.

Lights reset
I have Settings > Restore Factory Settings, but it is not the last item on that menu. It comes before 'System Information'.

Auxilary Heaters
That web page is telling you that if your car has an auxiliary heater, it can be controlled via the app. That does not imply that auxiliary heaters are available in the UK.

Rear Seat Locking Mechanism
At this link there is a download containing a bundle of service and repair manuals for the Karoq: https://getthemanuals.org/index.php?p=2&indexname=2018-2020_SKODA_Karoq_Service_Manual After you unzip it, you'll find a file called 'General body repairs, interior.pdf', which contains several pages on the rear seat assembly. I can't guarantee it will solve your problem but it might.

Phone is paired but Contacts are unavailable
He can't possibly be using CarPlay with his Pixel phone and it seems from his post that he has not got as far as trying Android Auto. He doesn't need to. His phone can indeed be operated from the Karoq's infotainment screen, whether one uses Android Auto or not. He needs to start by getting Bluetooth working in full and importing his contacts from phone to car. Wi-fi and/or Android Auto had better wait till those first steps have been taken.

Phone is paired but Contacts are unavailable
As a first step, check Bluetooth permissions: Go to your Pixel 8a's Settings > Connected devices > Bluetooth. Select your Karoq from the list of paired devices. Make sure "Share contacts and call history" is enabled. On the 8a, something above may have a slightly different name but it should be clear enough what setting you want.

Karoq SE Tech questions
You could obtain the VIN (ask MIL to take a photo or write it down), run that through a VIN decoder, and see whether the output includes "4F2 Central locking system 'Keyless Entry'"

1.5 Tsi Power Cutting Out
I revert to the original topic of this thread: the 1.5 TSi engine cutting out when the car is in motion, usually while changing gear or slowing down at a junction, and then refusing to re-start. The effect is total loss of power and a resulting situation that is often dangerous. If you are lucky, the car may still have enough momentum to bump-start it. If you are unlucky, you come to a standstill in the middle of a busy junction, repeatedly getting a dashboard message to use the start button, but finding that the engine repeatedly cuts out again immediately after it re-starts. To avoid repeating a fuller description of the problem, I refer to my post (above) of 11 January. I set out there, with reasons, why this is not about an operation of a correctly-functioning stop-start system. It is not about coasting mode (on those cars that have it). It is not about some difference between DSGs and manuals, as both have suffered from it. It is not about stalling. It is not about 95 versus 98 octane. It is not about driver error or driving style. When the engine cuts out, it cannot be re-started by dipping the clutch, or releasing the clutch, or touching the throttle. It is a fault in the engine management system allowing the revs to drop too low and then refusing to allow a re-start. I described my attempt to tackle this problem by 'Italian tune-up', as thamestrader aptly called it: that is, working the engine very hard for a while. It has been sixty days now since I first tried it, and I've repeated it a couple of times since. This is a report on what happened. Before the Italian tune-up, our 2023 Karoq Sportline was cutting out every day or two. Since then, in sixty days, it has cut out once while in Normal driving mode and zero times while in Sport mode. So for us, the problem has gone away, after being a serious and dangerous nuisance. I say 'for us' because I do not promise others will have the same results. A trial with a sample size of 1 is not science but anecdote. Correlation is not causation: I am not in a position to prove a causal connection, only to report on the correlation. As I now do: I did the Italian tune up, and subsequently, for whatever reason, the problem has almost completely gone away.
