Limp mode/boost issues - codes P1592 & P1619
Me too, hence the recommendations of a network of good diesel service technicians.

Firm seats
OTOH seat comfort is to some extent a matter of individual preference. As a worked example, a colleague and I both found the Citroen BX to be a very comfortable car. He got back pain in a Citroen Xantia after about half an hour, but I could drive 9 hours in one with comfort stops and snack breaks, and feel fresh enough to go out for a meal with mates afterwards.

I hate my Kodiaq
@SinglePointSafety @e-Roottoot - I tend to ignore "consumer surveys" because the level of self-selection bias in most of them tends to 1. Also, they tend to actively select for cars under 3 years old in my experience.

I hate my Kodiaq
Yeah; my point was that we'd maybe compute the total P(failure) differently, but using similar numbers we'd get similar results by law of transformation etc.

Timing belt snapped
Do that, and see if the engine spins freely on the starter. If it does, fit the pulleys, tensioner and pump, but keep the same belt, and do a compression test, looking for normal and consistent pressures on all 4.

Engine shut down - cranks but no start
Yes, or an issue with the immobiliser.

Yeti 1.6TDI aftermarket shock absorbers
Springs and/or (anti)roll bars to make a car stiffer in roll. The dampers will only affect the transient roll rate, not the roll angle.

I hate my Kodiaq
@SinglePointSafety - We might approach some of this stuff differently, but we're doing the same statistics with the same results.

Ask Skoda to pay for a journey to have warranty work done?
Are those pigs aviating?
-
Engine shut down - cranks but no start
OK, does it spin properly on the starter or make horrible noises?
-
Timing belt snapped
If it would spin on the starter you may have got away with it. If there's someone you trust, try getting them to fit a new belt, and do a compression test.

MotoGP 2022 (and previous season back to 2018)
Jason Dupasquier has died following a crash in Moto3 Saturday practice. Kudos points to the following for their reactions:- His team, Prustel GP for not racing on Sunday. Fellow Swiss rider Tom Luhti for withdrawing from the Moto2 race. Fabio Quartararo for waving a Swiss flag in his honour on the top step of the MotoGP podium. George Russell (yes that one) for this tweet, "Motorsport can be so cruel. Thinking of the family and friends of Jason Dupasquier aand everyone in the MotoGP paddock. Ride in peace, Jason". Absolutely no kudos to the Stevenage Gangsta because, while this was happening, he was jumping out of a perfectly serviceable aircraft.

KOPACEK ISSUES
Yes, this is indeed one of the results of Bozo's "easiest deal ever", aka WrecksIt.

Timing belt snapped
Well, my previous comment covers best and worst cases. I'd suggest taking off the cam cover and seeing if the camshaft and head look OK. If they look OK, try and turn the engine over on the crank pulley nut and report back on the findings.

Gearbox issue?
Well, I don't even need to be in the same county as you to be 90% certain you've cracked either the gearbox casing of the engine sump.

Fabians mk1 front wheel bearing
No. Nor do I have the special bearing press you need to fit new front bearings on Fabias and Octavias.

I know. and nachos time!

Odd feeling through brake pedal.
Well, you could just be braking hard enough to set off the ABS, which can feel like a pulsating kickback through the pedal, and is "normal operation of the system". Beyond that, I'd suggest a "good local garage or independent VAG specialist". @e-Roottoot or I might even be able to recommend someone if you say more exactly where you live and work. Do you get a persistent or occasional ABS or ASR warning light lighting up?

Roof Box - Maximum Size
As a static load, car roof / roof bars will support typically the mass of the vehicle. When/if a manufacturer quotes a roof load, they're quoting a dynamic load at which safe handling of the vehicle will be maintained. If anyone wants to say that the quoted roof load for $vehicle is too low, please remember to supply worked calculations and not just a statement.

Turbo radial clearance
If I'm understanding correctly, hydrodynamic pressure, which can be several hundred atmospheres, will centralise the shaft radially. The same does not apply axially, not least because you don't get thin film hydrodynamic effects on bearing ends. Disclaimer - Not an expert on turbos, but putting several different bits of stuff from different sources together.

Roof Box - Maximum Size
And they got here over an hour ago. I've no idea what the maximum load for a Furbie 2 top box is, but pretty much every car I've ever looked at payload figures for did quote a roof rack/top box load figure.
