Kodiaq SE and SmartLink
GreenlineIIEstate replied to Harrogate22's topic in Skoda Kodiaq MKI (2017-2023)
I have an SE spec Kodiaq and Android Auto/Apple Carplay is standard. Google/Apple maps can be used for satnav only difference is no maxidot mirror for directions. -
You'll love the Kodiaq. Ours replaces a petrol L&K Yeti which itself replaced a diesel 'black edition' Yeti. I must say that although the Kodiaq seems to ride a little better than a Yeti possibly due to the longer wheelbase you do feel the extra size in the corners. I suppose there's little they can do about that. Even going from a L&K with extras to an SE the Kodiaq still feels impressive.

We were towing a Sprite with an MTPLM of 1355kg with our 2015 1.4tsi 4X4 L&K Yeti and it towed great. We did however have a problem with the boot space of the Yeti hence the Kodiaq which is now on our drive. Only towed the van from home to storage (about 3 miles) so far but the Kodiaq feels much much better.

MY Yeti with electric seat used to dip just the passenger side mirror. If you didn't spec the spare wheel you won't get a jack. There's no need if you've nothing to change. Park assist with take it's positioning from other vehicles parking places. If they're parked on the kerb that's where you are heading too.

I thought I was a grumpy old b&*^%r!! Never bothered me in the slightest and the details of the number plate manufacturer is a legal requirement.

towing mirrors for kodiaq
GreenlineIIEstate replied to cliffbat's topic in Skoda Kodiaq MKI (2017-2023)
I'm using the Milenco Aero 3s I bought for my Yeti. They fit better than they did on the Yeti. -
Kodiaq extras - which ones make sense
GreenlineIIEstate replied to hataricus's topic in Skoda Kodiaq MKI (2017-2023)
96 onwards SLK 230 appears to weigh 1325kg. http://www.parkers.co.uk/mercedes-benz/slk/roadster-1996/230k-2d-auto/specs/ -
Kodiaq extras - which ones make sense

Did it have no seats, roof or engine? I had an SLK and thought 900kg must be a bit light. A google search shows a 2004 SLK 200 to weigh from 1390kg, up to a SLK 55 AMG at 1540kg. How did you lose almost 500kg?? -
Ordered mine 9th April and collected it today. Happy days.
-
I'm leaving here for the Kodiaq forum tomorrow. Collecting our Moon white SE 5 seat from Lookers Manchester tomorrow morning with our Muscovado 1.4tsi L&K Yeti going the other way.

I think a 2014 Yeti will definately have had traction control. Headlight adjustment too unless you have xenon headlights. I think tyre pressure monitoring is now legally required on new cars.

If you mean on the maxidot screen between the clocks then no.

Ordered Launch Weekend, now en route
GreenlineIIEstate replied to Freshacre's topic in Skoda Kodiaq MKI (2017-2023)
I ordered 9th April and was told at the start of this week that mine is actually in the country awaiting transport to the dealers. -
Rear Wiper Motor, Intermittent stopping, but "not broken"
GreenlineIIEstate replied to gumdrop's topic in Skoda Yeti
My L&K does it as well. Dealer said no problem at service. It's going soon so can't really be bothered taking it back just for this. -
I test drove the demo car at Lookers Salford on Sunday. Left after placing an order for a Moon White 150 diesel DSG SE with parking sensors and towbar. Far less toys than the current L&K Yeti but we don't want or need 7 seats and don't really need any of the toys i'll be losing. Just the wait for delivery now. We were told July ish but we'll see.

I don't think in the UK the DSG box has ever been offered with a 4X4 petrol version. I would have liked my L&K to have been a DSG but not an option.
-
I have the 150bhp 1.4tsi petrol and tow a caravan with a mtplm of 1355kg. My first time towing and pulls it a treat. Fuel economy isn't great at around 26mpg but probably better than the motorhome we recently sold.
-
I have done about 8k miles now in mine and it's averaging low 30s with most journeys around school run times. Strangely it managed 26mpg towing my 6 berth caravan from North Devon back to Manchester a few months back.
-
L&K should come with mats. Make sure the sat nav memory card is present.
-
I had a problem with an iPhone and it was due to fluff in the port where the cable plugs into the phone. I used a cocktail stick and was amazed the size of the dust bunny I displaced. Worth a try.
-
This made me curious so i've just been out to check my 1.4 L&K which was brand new and collected this day last year. Mine has Pirellis on it.
-
We have an L&K in Muscovado and love the colour of the leather. That's not really true as we don't care one way or the other. It's almost black anyways. We just get in it and go places the colour of the seats isn't an issue we just sit on them. To me the people who wouldn't buy one because of the brown leather need to get out more but that's just me.

I have a 1.4tsi L&K and have recently bought a Sprite Freedom 6 caravan. Other than the trip back from the dealers we have so far only had one trip but that was from Manchester to Cornwall, then south and north Devon and back home. The car towed faultlessly and I am a novice tugger. Averaged 26mpg on the way home and I was very pleased.
-
Milenco here too.

I have a set of the sill protectors that I bought for my Black Edition and never got round to fitting. I now have an L&K which has them as standard. They are free to anyone able to collect from M46 post code area.
