  1. As I already said, my AAW of the very first patch made works fine about 5 or 6 years already. And it still gets updates.
  2. Yes, t Yes, that's the case, at least on mine and seems on yours too. Go for AAWireless. It's made in China, but developed and produced by a Swiss guy as a startup. Works flawlessly.
  3. When I activated the eyelashes I did also the taillights with daylights always on. Not sure it helps you, but you can just investigate further here. Also, not sure OBD11 can do everything. It misses a lot of functions. I coded with VCDS. But suit yourself. 4. If you have a possibility to check the errors, do it. Mine is like a virgin girl, every time you disconnect the battery it needs to erase the fault codes, otherwise some functions like blind spot etc will not work properly.
  5. I have written before here, but last year I replaced the battery with Exide. Battery guy coded the car with Exide dongle. Did not charge to full, lots of problems. Recoded myself with VCDS. Same story. Went to dealers, they recoded with ODIS (into some strange coding, never heard before of) and everything works fine since.
  6. What I have read before in the net, that you still have to recode because the Battery Management System includes in calculations also the age and potential wear of the existing battery and charges accordingly.
  7. Yes, you do. Otherwise the car wouldn't charge it to full. It knows it's 70 ah, but in fact it's larger. Actually you have to recode the battery even when swapping to exactly the same model / producer.
  8. We don't know it yet. My Ottocast is fully packed, it's basically an Android mini computer. Mini Cube seems to be wireless dongle for AA only. Could work like any other. Let us know, when arrives.
  9. Don't. I use Ottocast only for watching TV sometimes when wife is shopping or WRC+ during driving with friends. Ottocast uses Carplay protocol to connect to the headunit. AA becomes not a natural part of the infotainment, but as an app inside the app. More worse - your phone will connect to the car only via Ottocast and that's a mess.
  10. 110c is normal. Higher, don't know, haven't kept an eye on this.
  11. It's just a bluetooth bridge between your phone and the headunit. No GPS. Better adapters have a price tag too. I have also a Ottocast P3 for 350 euros. I has all the whistles, but still no GPS.
  12. Probably even better, meanings of the startup time. Mine takes about 20 sec. Still getting updates (install according app to your phone).
  13. I have AAWireless first edition. Works perfectly.
  14. MIB 1 is a very old one, from 2013 as I read. You have definitely MIB 2,5 Columbus.
  15. I believe it can be fixed. Mine lasted a year or so, just got tired to deal with it.
  16. I managed to repair it first too with some screws. But at the end of the day it did not work out and I replaced thye whole cardboard. Cost something around 600 euros.
  17. I am doing long runs - Central Europe and back, constantly.
  18. AP26 and AP21 are front wipers. Pre facelift models fit Bosch Rear A331H, but I've read somewhere, that facelift models have a different one. Not sure about this though.
  19. So far: few flywheels one front spring both front drive axles (it is easier to change and almost the same price than only the ball joint) few sets of brake disks back camera Probably some stuff else, but cannot remember anything major.
  20. Bought this one for 61 euros: https://spareto.com/products/metzger-relay-glow-plug-system/0884010 It had number 457 on the back instead of 527 as original, but works just fine, no more faults anymore.
  21. Ordered the module yesterday, will arrive in couple of days. I know th swap is piece of cake, will do as soon as it arrives.
  22. Just other stuff constantly to take care of, that's why couple of weeks (probably) :)
  23. Thanks, Graham. Just my thoughts. Will order the module. Takes couple of weeks to get under the bonnet, but will report back.
  24. Mine is slightly different.
