  1. Most are paid services. carinfo.kiev.ua/cars/vin/skoda used to properly work for free but it's limited now to previously checked cars. Dealers in my experience have been happy to check VINs for me.
  2. I believe Skoda have confirmed that there will be no hybrid in the facelift, at least not for the RS. Matrix LED being available is a given pretty much, nothing else at the moment.
  3. Makes no difference, dwell time is the important bit. You snow foam a car within a minute, it makes little difference doing it top to bottom or vice versa.
  4. You might be surprised. Nowadays smartphone voice recognition is pretty good even for our kiwi accents. I'm not fussed about knobs as long as I've got volume control on the steering wheel to be honest
  5. MQB cars keep the brake lights on - just engage the parking brake if you’re stopped for a while.
  6. Meh, I find Siri to recognise speech leaps and bounds better than the factory voice commands. I still use the factory navigation though.
  7. Yes, same functionality.
  8. I assume he's said what he said because the voice commands don't understand the Welsh accent? You should be able to access a phone menu on your instrument display through your right hand steering wheel controls.
  9. Only plug in blower I'd be using is the Bigboi Buddi. I'm tired of using my air compressor so will be ordering one of there sometime. I'm not bothered with getting an EGO cordless blower which is what many of American detailers use because it's too expensive for hobby use imo.
  10. A while back people were recommending the Hatchbag liners for those that want a 'tub' style liner going up the sides of the boot
  11. Traffic sign recognition and auto high beams use the same camera so you can save by getting the cheaper one then coding. But do be warned that you might not be able to code it in for a MY21 as there may be a new driver assist camera that’s locked down unlike previous years
  12. I would add adaptive cruise if possible but otherwise nice spec. I wouldn’t be fussed about the panoramic sunroof, I had an X-Trail for 10 years with one with no leaks. No problems with my 2017 Kodiaq either. As long as you make sure the dealer checks the seals and drain lines when servicing there should be no problem. Chrome pack is chrome window trim and roof rails if I’m not mistaken. I think SEL should come with chrome window trim as standard though. With light assist you should be able to code Lane Assist but with MY21 there might be a new camera which won’t accept such coding.
  13. I wish more brands would use the VDA boot measurements so we can get a more definitive measurement of boot space.
  14. These Kodiaqs are honestly awesome cars. I lost about £11k on my 2017 to upgrade to my 2019 and have no regrets at all, maybe apart from no ventilated seats...
  15. Every 4 months I just do a clean and protect with a locally made product called Duraseal leather guard. Doesn't affect the look and texture of the leather at all which I like. That said I only really use it on the steering wheel nowadays since my current Kodiaq has the alcantara leather mix seats. On my last Kodiaq and on my Golf it works a treat.
  16. Yes but I don’t like it on leather. I prefer leather being a nice satin texture and dry feeling while PERL tends to leave a bit of shiny residue, but I guess if you diluted it more it’d be fine.
  17. Automotive leather fake or not has a coating from the factory nowadays so no need for conditioners etc. Just look at products like 303 leather 3 in 1 or Gyeon leather shield - those two are highly rated in the detailing world.
  18. Most will use genuine on the centre surfaces of the seats but fake leather on other surfaces.
  19. Skoda should be introducing a 200PS TDI in the next few months...
  20. Figures for the 80X and RS aren't available from Skoda directly, else I would have used those figures for comparison obviously. It's not like the dual motor versions will be lighter anyways, there will for sure be more of a delta.
  21. Enyaq 80 kerb weight 2075-2293kg Kodiaq RS kerb weight 1895kg-2015kg. So I meant 200kg more average weight but there is an almost 400kg difference at the ends of the scale.
  22. Do you really think I'd be getting my technical details anywhere but from Skoda? No official specification on weight for the 80X and RS from Skoda as of yet.
  23. Skoda measure their kerb weight from the DIN figure which includes a 90% full tank of fuel then add the 75kg driver on top of that. An Enyaq 80 is already 300kg heavier than a Kodiaq RS so we'll have to see whether the low centre of gravity can counteract the sheer mass - the Kodiaq RS handles well compared to similarly sized SUVs even with it's somewhat low tech suspension setup.
  24. Yeah it’s suit my town driving but for long distance we don’t really have that good a infrastructure. I’d only have an electric car for town i.e. e-Golf.
  25. For reference this is what VW say for the Tiguan:
