Cheers John , i have a personal lease arranged by the dealer via VWFS

Hi all , my car goes into the dealer for the 3rd time ( in my mind final time). I have a feeling like you all have experienced , the dealer will not have a scooby on how to fix. As my contract is with VWFS i dont know if i could be bothered to take this the full way to reject going on all of your experiences. So if i tell the dealer i reject the car , what will they say .. " Oh your contract is with VWFS and not us. Then i imagine its dealer vs finance tennis and likely to go on for some time. I have had the car now for 17 weeks and im close to 6 months.

40p per mile seems excessive as in my personal lease its like 9ppm if i go over the miles i stated.

Ok lets get this highlighted . How do we do this with WD ?

Anyone thought about watchdog on the BBC. How many of us are there. I can see maybe 20 reg posters.

So here is the update , the dealer has said the Octy's are a real headache for them at the mo ( honest at least). Their main tech guy has some ideas and wants to to talk to "technical" ( who are they) He wants all the photos of probs, which i have sent. The dealer apologised profusely on the call and damm its not their fault. So car going in on the 31st for a week . I doubt they will find or even replicate the errors as they are so random. If they cant its bye bye VRS. i DONT WANT THAT !! the VRS is the only car in this segment that i would want. What else is out there , not a Golf GTI, or Seat Cupra , dont want a SUV. Looked at the Beemur 3 M series but had a beemur in 12 plate and didnt like the driving position or poor boot space. I certainly dont want an Audi , streets are littered up here in Glasgow with them. I loved the exclusivity of the VRS. This is a VW group scandal , potentially caused by Covid ,,, got to get these cars out there. No one verified the software or gave it real life testing.

Thats the thing , i dont know what i want , i love the VRS , it drives well , looks great. Cant think of any other car in that segment i would want. I wanted a Kodiaq Sportline but it was too expensive. Aftersales manager at the dealer is calling me today. I expect that as others have said that a new software version above 1788 will be available. Ill keep y'all posted

Hi all , thanks for the responses so far As the car is a personal lease with VWFS on a 3yr term, what do you think would happen if i did reject ? A) They give me another car from the range B, Let me walk away from the lease with no more payments. Any advice would be appreciated

Hi , i have posted many times on the software problems. My car ha been in to the dealer 3 times since i took delivery late Jan. Various problems as you have all seen. As the car had been since last visit , stable , i just got to accepting that ok there will be some minor problems going forward and ill live with it But today , black screen, turned it off locked and restarted the car after 5 mins . Screen came on but no clima. Restarted again and it came back. So should i ask the dealer to again look at a problem they wont understand how to fix or should i go about rejection ( its vw lease) . If i don't do anything now , what the hell is the car going to be doing or not doing in 6 months

Bang on mate , we dont have Bugatti's we have taxi cab faves with some of us having a look warm hot hatch engine. No manufacturer would give you this option if it F-d up the engine within the 3 years warranty. So many old wife tales for cars that are still prevalent today

Buy the rubber mats mate , £65 over here , those textile mats will look really grubby soon

I had real probs , showing me miles from where i really was. Took her in and they updated the software and no more probs

snap it up , you wont be disappointed. I had the Superb Sportline in DSG diesel . I imagine same engine and flawless plus grt MPG. Also your getting matrix led lights,, a joy to behold at night

Exactly the Q i was going to ask. I too have GoodY's and they are on par with PS4s. The best tires backed by reviews are PS4S , Conti 6 and the Goody super sport's. If you have Bridgestone , i get your point or Pirelli. Unless you track day, the top 3 will be indistinguishable on a spirited drive to non pro tire reviewers. I watch this guys reviews Michelin Pilot Sport 4S vs Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport - Long Term Real World Test - YouTube For the midrange guys , i found the Falken FK510 to be a great tire, although the price is now near the top 3.

Just want to throw this into the mix. Last Friday i had a few errors after the cars 3 trips to fix various at the dealer. My car is a personal leased via VW finance. Where would i stand with a rejection at 14 weeks old?

Is right hand traffic not correct as oncoming traffic is on the right? This has always confused me when this matter comes up

Hi , without your phone the system wont have access to your contacts. The next user may see DAVE'S PHONE but as Dave isnt there and his phone isnt there. The next person wouldnt see your contacts. Well this is the way it used to work , who F-in knows what the VW software is doing. Probably selling your data to a Mumbai call centre. Having looked at the new config for the VRS i do see that Meteor Grey is gone ,, it wouldnt surprise me that due to the Golf Gti's uglyness, F-ups with tech. VW grp have pulled the colour. The Octy cannot be better or more spesh than the GTI or any of Audi's products. The amount of interest i have had from passers buy has been really surprising. Up here in Glasgow the streets are full of Audi's and Beemurs and all go un-noticed. I know Covid prob caused the interest in my Octy as it novel and i dont think many on the road at the mo. But do be aware that the infotainment system is pretty bad. My car has been in twice for rectification and i was about to throw the towel in on Friday when the clima went dark. Stuck on 28 degs and seat heating on. Left her for an hour and the gremlin was gone. I did however contact the dealer and told them i wanted a log kept of all my problems and an email of a tech person to send my screen captures too. The car drives great , you wont be disappointed and i know with the weight of all the other guys here , the software will eventually work

On another note the VRS description on Skoda UK still says after months that the car comes with 16" wheels. The faults and lack of attention on the site make me wonder. Wonder why , mine is in Meteor grey. I 'd be happy if it was a unique colour but most of the new cars i see are now in flat grey , Ford, Audi etc. I bet its going to get boring like silver once was.
