Bristol council considers banning diesel vehicles
CWARD replied to lancpudn's topic in General Automotive Chat
and that hits the nail on the head. There was a program on ITV last night on the death of the high street. One of the big issues was no free parking, imagine the effect of being charged to drive into town and then charged again to park. The same people who then introduced these additional charges will then be wondering why they have a ghost town. -

In fairness whilst I agree with most of your comments they have been under pressure to get Stormont running again by both the Brutish and Irish leaders. -

The Official Brexit Thread - The Transition Period.

Car sales decline is anything but Brexit related as Europe has had a flat year in car sales and manufacturers have made massive job losses as they try to manage the fallout of the VAG emissions scandal which has affected all manufacturers as diesel is now evil and suffering from competition from EV manufacturers. Manufacturers are merging reducing jobs and development costs. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-12-17/european-car-sales-heading-for-flat-year-despite-november-boost https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-12-03/carmakers-shedding-80-000-jobs-as-electric-era-upends-industry Of course we can just blame Brexit for everything instead as it's easier, even when manufacturers relocate in the same country -

Nope, not like these. You were asked to provide facts and links to your GDP figures and those leaving, not left, the U.K. which you’ve posted everything but as usual as you just copy and paste without understanding the figures you’re providing. Again for someone that claims to be in your position this is surprising. -

@lol-lol you may want to find a more current report rather than one that was prior to the election and the certainty that we are now leaving the EU instead of one that was written after three years of parliament stagnation over Brexit. Yet again you have pasted information without context so please try and provide Moley with the links to back up your claims. -

Investment in Britain's tech sector jumped 44% in 2019 - report LONDON (Reuters) - Investment in Britain’s tech sector surged 44% to a record $13.2 billion pounds in 2019, accounting for a third of all European funding and exceeding the total in France and Germany combined, the UK government’s Digital Economy Council said on Wednesday. https://uk.reuters.com/article/uk-britain-technology-funding/investment-in-britains-tech-sector-jumped-44-in-2019-report-idUKKBN1ZE003 -
Just a three month rolling deferment on tax payments so no actual money given to them. Lee can sleep easy now knowing that his tax contributions aren’t helping an airline survive and continue to provide a transport service. Lee how do you feel about the German government bailing out Condor Airlines as your tax payments will be contributing to that?

Hi @Azonic and welcome to the forum. You seem to be getting some bad advice from P F Jones, which is unusual for them. If you have dedicated wiring already you need Westfalia Part # 305 407 300 113 for the 13 pin or 305 407 300 107 for the 7 pin version (305 408 300 107/113 is the full wiring kit to the fuse box and battery). The PDF below is for the wiring instructions and if you follow the section for 305 407 300 107/113 you will see that you're only completing the wiring from the boot to the tow bar itself. You can confirm that you have the dedicated wiring installed by removing the left hand boot panel and you will see a module box (part 23 in the instructions) stuck to the side of the car body most likely with Westfalia printed on it, there will be a 3 empty sockets ready to accept your wiring kit. It is plug and play so should work straight away once plugged in. https://www.pfjones.co.uk/westfalia_fitting/305408300113.pdf If you're fitting the towbar and the electrics yourself then it is straight forward. Just take your time and ideally do it in indoors or on a warmer day as the plastics clips around the bumper won't break as easily as they can in the cold. Even taking your time with a few tea breaks you would have the job completed in half a day. Ideally when taking the bumper on and off have a helper available as they flex a lot and avoids damaging it.

The Arab Spring was a movement of people sick of living under dictatorships with families disappearing to be killed it tortured who spoke out against the leader. Iraq should never have happened and you can thank the previous Labour government and their dodgy dossier of intelligence. Saddam was just as brutal as Al Alssad using brutal means to control the various tribes and religions. Neither of these justify keeping dictators in place as you seem to be implying. Again you need a reality check. I’ll take this with a pinch of salt, not that the military is innocent as they’re just like the rest of society, but that fact you did anything like this as your previous comments on walking around the Bogside was outed as lies so will this.

I know there is civilian deaths in war that I’ve witnessed first hand especially when enemy doesn’t wear a uniform. Easy for you to criticise as an arm chair general even if you were commissioned to collect taxes 🙄 You then try to compare that against the PIL cases, which most were found to be fabricated. Your comparison is an insult to the hundreds of thousands killed, whole cities levelled, millions displaced and now living in refugee camp Civilian deaths[edit] According to the pro-opposition Syrian Network for Human Rights, 224,948 civilians had been killed between March 2011 and September 2019.[28][29][30] Perpetrator Number of killed civilians Men Women Children Syrian government forces 199,411 164,213 11,854 22,733 Russian forces 6,514 3,717 908 1,928 Islamic State 5,004 3,454 584 952 Other unnamed parties 5,239 3,156 734 1,164 Other rebel forces 4,131 2,451 873 981 International Coalition Forces 3,037 1,455 656 924 Syrian Democratic Forces 1,157 768 152 203 Hayat Tahrir al Sham 455 301 74 64 TOTAL 224,948 180,165 15,835 28,949 You really need a reality check. If you’re really are trying to genuinely compare the two then you’re a weird sick person if you think this justifies your argument in which you’ve been wrong from start to finish and just digging a deeper hole for yourself.

Well WW3 appears to be on the back burner. Despite all the conspiracy theories Iran has admitted to bringing down the airliner in a tragic error. Mr Doom and Gloom aka @lol-lol forecast for rising oil prices has resulted in a drop to the lowest in January Still @lol-lol hasn’t been able to provide a defence for his hero of Syria not been a terrorist

Another to recommend a rescue, best thing we've done

You need to read my response to Lee's post on this page. Commercial flights will have transponders on and no doubt the Military radar systems are advanced enough to have signature records to identify different types of aircraft. Most likely an operator error as I’m sure at times of heightened tensions a command to launch anti aircraft missiles would need to have been passed down the chain of command and confirmation of aircraft would have been required along with flight path since it entered their airspace and this aircraft had only just taken off.

There you go, a terrorist state doing acts of terrorism. No surprise really, as I said it would be odd if it wasn't Iran with their history of such acts. We'll probably never learn the truth as it would cause tensions to rise again. We already have the Ukraine wanting to search the crash area for signs of Russian missiles, no doubt to get international backing against Russia as that would be two airliners if you include MH17 brought down by Putin and his allies. Has @lol-lol found a reason why his hero of Syria isn't a murdering terrorist scumbag yet?
