I’ve never seen the figures before, but definitely agree for a minimal outlay it’s a good return!

Baltic Triangle in Liverpool, there’s tons of street art there. It’s great, I spotted the octopus in a Focus ad my local Ford dealer posted on FB so set out to find it -

I have them on my estate a few posts up. They fit fine, the odd ocassional snag on kerb when reversing up the drive but if I am conscious the kerb is there I can avoid the drag. Definitely invest in a set! -
This popped up in my news feed yesterday. Pretty good figures, tempted to get a new Superb 280 if they’re still making them when I come to trade-in my VRS in a few years time.

Cleaned the car this afternoon and made the effort to hunt down the octopus graffiti I spotted online a few weeks back. Wanted to get an image of the rear of my car so the big octopus on the wall could meet the little white octopus I have on the back of my octy - couldn't block the road though -
Budget brands - recommendations please.

Get a Carrera Subway from Halfords. The spec is great, with hydraulic brakes, decent group set and finishing kit. The bike scored 4/5 by MBR. I’m happy with mine, just need some new treads as the Kenda tyres it came with are sketchy in the wet. I’d steer clear of ‘known’ brands as they kit they’ll come with sub-£300 will be made out of cheese. Chain Reaction Cycles have a good range, vitus for example, but whether you can get one below £300 I don’t know. -
If I ever own an s3 or s4, then I’d be launch controlling everywhere. I heard an Rs3 launch next to me a few weeks ago, the sound was mental!

Subtle colour. Love the way they match the colour of your car!

How hard is it to buy a £30,000 Octavia?
courty replied to BA Baracus's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
They probably felt threatened as you knew exactly what you wanted. Did they not try and tempt you by throwing in LifeShine for free? -
Reminds me of a bit of 90s lighting: Is there a cost element at the point of ordering or is it a free add-on?

I had 24 rolls of grass in the boot of my Octavia in summer from BQ. Granted it was only 1.5miles away from my home otherwise I’d have done more trips to save the suspension. If spread evenly it shouldn’t mess your car up, especially when you think you could be driving around daily with 3x 20 stone kids in the back thanks to the childhood obesity crisis

Can anyone recommend a well-priced bulb off eBay? I’ve got a few quid in my paypal and with the dark nights here it’d be helpful with a brighter, workable light.

Scary electrical problems

I used to drive an X-reg Corsa ten years ago and that used to do the same, granted it was a Vauxhall and had about 85k on it, it was rather annoying when everything decided to shut down and not restart immediately! A family friend who was a Vauxhall tech informed me that the wiring sometimes got damp and corrode. Every other journey it’d happen, safe to say I was elated when it eventually got written off in a collision! Hope you’re back on the road carefree soon. -
Heated windscreen blocking GPS signal?

Can you not buy an exterior booster cable for your unit? I bought one off eBay for my old Navman years ago. Worked a treat when we used to use it in my wife’s fiesta. Simply plugged it into the nav then traced it out through the door seal. -

Theres an Irish site, google Skoda parts Ireland, they’re quite good/cheap as superskoda in the times I’ve used them.

Timing belt and water pump ballpark cost
courty replied to Telf964's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
Defo a VAG cheat then if there are two cars it’s happened to Mine emitted on its MOT - so I’m safe thankfully; the environment isn’t though -

I’d be calling VOSA and asking them to recategorise your car as zero emissions. It could be another VAG emissions cheat just to stop it emitting entirely -
Mines probably about the same tbh, I do about 250miles a week at which a regen occurs once within that window. Ocassionally it’s spread over ten days but just depends if I’ve had a few motorway/long fast driving jaunts.

Mine’s 3 tomorrow, not as shiny as yours though - still waiting for the drizzle to stop so I can get out and washNwax before I’m back in work next week -
My 38.5k 3yr old does maybe 1 a week, did 100mile trip today and it was on when I got home (typical) but they’re few and far between tbh. I am ever conscious of it needing a good razz occasionally, thankfully I don’t live too far away from a 60mph dual carriageway What was it like with your box, regens as frequent? Could potentially be the map when you think the ecu has been modified: more power etc = more regens?

Swap over gear knob and hand brake lever
courty replied to willovrs's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
Mine’s the same gear knob wise...not seen any handbrake wear at the moment thankfully. I’m prob just going to switch to an all metal one once the Skoda one bites the dust. -
Nah, I never use auto as I like to have a direction on the airflow, mostly it’s set to the “front” as in the one above sat nav. Booked it in anyway last night, still no temperature change as in there is a negligible change from 24-16degrees.
