mine used to do this - got a new flap motor on warrantly which fixed it. It was probably the most annoying thing thats gone worng with mine, piping hot air constantly coming out - also it took several weeks and parts to diagnose and fix it. I thought it was bad enough in winter, but it must be even worse if it happens in summer.... :(

I used the comma one mine as after 2 and a half years the A/c was smelling a bit - I was really pleased with the results and as someone mentioned once the faint smell of the canister had disappeared it smelt so much fresher.

I've been really pleased with mine, think its probably a little lower on bhp and torque than custom remaps but the advantage is it protects the clutch better - 10k with it on and absolutely no slip - and I like to boot it.

I use halfords pads on mine and they've been fine. You have to use thicker pads on the front plate though due to the curvature. Halfords sell special thicker ones made for this. I put one in the middle and 1 at each end.

I noticed mine is quieter and smoother at slow speeds too when standard but when on the move the map is less harsh when the torque comes in and not to mention a heck of a lot quicker in the top end. Still really pleased with mine Will, are you selling it?

wonder how much a new end piece would cost - assuming its just an add on it might not be too expensive.

me neither - no clutch slip (yet) but a very good increase in power

I do the same, usually have to give the brakes a good go on most mornings just to get some braking power back - you can hear the scraping noise as the crud/rust comes off. Thing is I've been told its normal and caused by rain but my wifes fiesta has never had this problem in the same conditions. Anyway guess I'll seee soon if the new brakes do it too.

made me wonder about the turtle wax cleaner too - same problem with brakes stuck on afterwards too, though I didn't use it that often....

0-60/70 in my experience a remapped (1-click) vrs is as quick as a 172 cup - actually the vrs was a little quicker in the run I did - though obviously launching is key in a drag.

yeah you're right, think I'm gonna bite the bullet and take it in. Its a shame, wished I'd been more careful - scared of fitting the brace back on again now - oh well you live and learn.

thanks very much for your help guys, people are so good on here:thumbup: I need to get one ordered asap - reason, cross threaded one of the strut bolts:O whilst removing my strut brace for service:O and it just turns and turns - think you know the problem Martin;) I'll get a bearing too, gonna try and fit it myself but may end up getting the dealer to do it whilst they replace my discs and pads judging by my pathetic attempts so far, it may be safer, lol.

just had my first air filter change - at the 40k service. I have noticed the MPG has gone up since I had it done....Think I won't be waiting another 40k for the next one..

Can anyone help me out please, Does anyone know the part number for the strut top for a 53 fabia vrs as below. My local skoda garage couldn't find it... They showed me a pic of the strut assembly but we couldn't work out which part it was... many thanks,

update: the warranty work on my bumper has been approved, dealer said they had another one like this before too. So check your bumper paint to make sure its not happened to yours - I only noticed when I washed it and looked up close - check along the join as per the picture posted earlier....

fair enough - sound like brainless idiots then, of which there are far too many on the roads unfortunately.

perhaps they weren't parked up but waiting at a junction or for a hazard in front to pass? It just sounds similar to something I did a couple of weeks ago. I thought a car was parked up on my side so overtook, only to realise he was waiting before a narrow section so as not to block it before a traffic light junction ahead (which was on red). I realised as soon as I did it and waved to say sorry - he didn't look to impressed though

Think prison break has ended now - similarly disappointing ending though...4400 starts up soon though:thumbup:
