If mountain rescue, 999 etc, have no need for w3w I wonder why they were relying on it (in the link).. I see it being more useful in non emergency situations (like when I'm trying to find where I'm supposed to be picking my kid up and the postcode is the middle of a field (or she doesn't know it))..

Changed the air filter today, the old one wasn't terrible tbh, and also noticed something to rib the missus about. She'll do the cabin filter later, the garage can do the rest.

Vat has already been paid, I think... don't think there should be any duty. Even if there is the kit, with shipping, was under £380 so it'll be in the same ballpark as a UK purchase. I was looking at B6's,that's why I got the higher price tag..

Anyone know if OBDEleven has full functionality on the Mk1? Read some comments (elsewhere) that some older cars don't have access to all the modules, wondering if the mk1 was one of them before I drop the cash...

My missus found a Koni STR.T kit in Germany, that'll be shipped this week. There's a shortage of H&R springs too, apparently.. the warehouse doesn't have any and now the factory is on hols.. Under £400 could be a bit optimistic.. the springs alone are nearly £200.

Sport kit with h&r is £650.. I'm really pushing the budget at that but it's doable... Bit cheaper would be nicer though.

No Koni kits in the UK... front dampers are on back order and have been for some time. Earliest is September - that's no good. So I'm thinking of Bilsteins with H&R springs... if I can find the right ones

Looking to fit a boost gauge in the mk1, never dabbled in such witchcraft before. Are they all much of a muchness? Do digital ones install the same? PSI or BAR and what range? It'd have to illuminate green and I can't stand vent mounts, or column mounts. That leaves A pillar or dash? Was thinking of trying to get as small as possible and put it where the windscreen, dash and A pillar meet.

Was looking at ours last night thinking it'd look nice a tad lower... swmbo is looking at wheels (she likes black, I like gold - but it's her daily driver) We tend to have black cars so this was a bit of a shock (we're trying to confuse the neighbours now there's 4 cars outside again), it is really nice though..
