  1. It's the rotary connection between the steering wheel/Airbag and the fixed wiring loom
  2. Anyone taking bets on which Alfa-Tauri driver will have a Moment that brings out the safety car at a crucial point so MV can get a free pit stop ??
  3. Looking at the wiring diagrams that Black/Red wire from the switch (A18) goes to the ABS 26 pin connector pin 16, BCM 52 pin (Brown connector) pin 17, Trailer detection unit (If fitted) pin 3 and the ECU pin 33 as seen in your attached picture, the BCM outputs the signal to the rear lights so it doesn't go direct from the switch unit
  4. Connection 54 is a general term to refer to the wiring connected with the brake light ON signal, you won't be able to look at the wiring loom and see a label stating connection 54 or A18 just from the wiring diagram you know the wire will be a BLACK wire with a RED tracer and not far from the brake pedal switch that wire will be spliced into other Black/Red wires that go to the BCM/ABS/rear lights etc
  5. DIN72552 is the spec that vehicle wiring diagrams should comply to with the likes of 30 being an unswitched battery supply or 31 being ground & 15 an ignition switched supply, if you look at the wiring diagram for the rear lights you will find the same Black/Red wire going to the connectors for the rear light units
  6. 54 is the brake light connection in DIN72552 so the A18 will also appear on the diagram for the rear light diagrams
  7. If the blade fuses don't reduce the drain, try disconnecting the main (thick) cable from the alternator and see if that improves things as you might have a leaking diode in the rectifier pack inside the alternator
  8. No on the Superb 1 That's the Hazzard switch come relay unit if you follow the 49A (flasher signal output) at the top of the diagram it joins up with the top line on the diagram below of the Indicator stalk So No CANbus/BCM involved
  9. As above it will be the stalk switch as you state the Hazzards work and the stalk switch just switches the output from the hazzard switch/relay unit to the Left/Right as required
  10. The VCDS-lite will not work on your car as it's CANbus based so you need a full setup according to the Ross-Tech site https://www.ross-tech.com/vcds/tour/sri-reset.php
  11. Depending on the software version of the communication system, the terms "Oil change service", "Interval service", "Inspection" or "Inspection service" are displayed. It's the oil service or interval service that I can reset via the info screen but the inspection service (max 2 years or 30K km) needs VCDS or similar
  12. On my Treg the oil is on a variable service and that can be reset via the info screen but the yearly main service that includes the likes of brake fluids and general service checks that needs me to use VCDS to clear that service due warning from the speedo screen warnings
  13. On other VAG models the oil service can often be easily reset by button/stalk/info screen etc but the main service interval needs the correct diagnostic kit
  14. The NOCO I have just connects to the jumpstart points under the bonnet and can be left connected as removing the battery means removing the passenger seat so not really practical
  15. Check on this site https://www.tayna.co.uk/ they have the best selection of OEM & alternatives and great prices
  16. Sounds like your missing bit of the waterpump might of found it's way to the thermostat and stopping it from closing off properly

  22. Remove the harness from the door and repair it ?
  23. The OEM radio wiring doesn't have a switched output from the radio to turn on an amp
  24. @rcd I used this guy https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/224631127243 results were very fast and more in depth than the build sheets I got from my local stealership
