  1. They can be a bit enthusiastic with the free checks. They might suggest you need XYZ. Then you have more complications to work out. Have you had the full Skoda Service details? Where are you based. approx county? Thanks. AG Falco
  2. So it will be slightly over on the service. I wouldn't worry about it. Just book it now for when you are back. Thanks. AG Falco
  3. Check for a broken wire in the part of the loom that goes from the top of the body to the boot lid. The wires are covered in a black rubber sheath. This is where they get bent and can break. Open the boot lid first. Thanks. AG Falco.
  4. Average MPG would be my guess. Thanks. AG Falco
  5. This just stops the stop/start working. The smart charging part is still operating as normal. Which one runs on 5V? Thanks. AG Falco
  6. I find it the other way round. We have already met there as I have an UP. Just watch out for the Bird people of Brontitall. Thanks. AG Falco
  7. Did it to mine. See this post :- Worth doing for me as I keep cars a long time. Thanks. AG Falco
  8. That is just the viscosity of the oil. If you want to look after the engine then a C3 oil is better than a C5 oil. Look here:- https://tps.trade/oil-search And here:- https://www.oilspecifications.org/volkswagen.php#google_vignette Thanks. AG Falco
  9. Do you then put the key in a pocket? Where it might be accidently being pushed? Thanks. AG Falco
  10. So, do you unlock the the car before you are next to it? Has the key got a metal blade that you put in the steering lock to start the car? Or is it a 'KESSY' type key? What is set to open on the car when you push the unlock button once. You can change this on the infotainment system. Does it do anything different if you push the unlock button twice? Thanks. AG Falco
  11. Do you have the Skoda service history? Thanks. AG Falco
  12. Ok, it is that time of year again. MOT was on Friday, all good with no problems and now at 51.5K miles Did the 7th service on Saturday, Just a small service this one. All good, except the battery is showing signs of getting old. The tyres/wheels were rotated as usual, although the car is now keeping the all season tyres on all year. Car is now living with the Daughter these day and doesn't get the milage it used to. Will update the ERWIN service record tomorrow. Oil I already had, so just £8.04 for the Bosch oil filter. All good and still plan to keep it long term. Thanks. AG Falco
  13. Click on pab567's icon / photo and it opens his profile page. Towards the top of the page on the right side click the Message button. Then you can PM him. ( Private Message ) HTH Thanks. AG Falco
  14. Does it only work / become available with both the swing plus on AND the ignition on. Thanks. AG Falco
  15. Check if the car ( s ) you are interested in has the Bolero system in it. On the Bolero system under menu is there the Android auto icon? If so you just need a compatible Android phone with Android Auto on it. From factory build week 22 of 2015 should be good. This is not first registration date of the car. See this- Thanks. AG Falco
  16. Which port? Can you see your car here- https://www.google.com/maps/place/Immingham/@53.6542006,-0.2416157,2289m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m6!3m5!1s0x4878905b5572985f:0x9f32c3b3600857da!8m2!3d53.614012!4d-0.215913!16zL20vMDRiemtr?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI1MDMyMy4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D Or here- https://www.google.com/maps/@53.6592632,-0.245794,3a,60y,143.77h,90t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1sr7Roylm99vqTXnIh35VO8g!2e0!6shttps:%2F%2Fstreetviewpixels-pa.googleapis.com%2Fv1%2Fthumbnail%3Fcb_client%3Dmaps_sv.tactile%26w%3D900%26h%3D600%26pitch%3D0%26panoid%3Dr7Roylm99vqTXnIh35VO8g%26yaw%3D143.77328949189103!7i13312!8i6656?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI1MDMyMy4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D You might need to zoom in a bit. There can be a lot of cars at the port. Thanks. AG Falco
  17. Was the new battery coded to the car? Thanks. AG Falco
  18. Go in to your dealer then and ask them for the same deal. Thanks. AG Falco
  19. Tell them you will go for the servicing offer ONLY if they DO do those items. Thanks. AG Falco
  20. I have had a Fiat Panda from new since 2009. It is at 138000 miles. It has had every service due from new. Only the first three were with the main Fiat dealer though. The Panda has never not started, never not finished a journey and never broken down. Did fail one MOT but it then passed within 2 hours. When were they last done. They will be due within the next 5 years? Spark plugs due at 4, 8 & 12 years old? Air filter due at 6 & 12 years old? If you look after cars they will look after you. Thanks. AG Falco.
  21. What services has it had since new? Thanks. AG Falco
  22. Sorry, mine is pre facelift but it look like a similar process. It looks like you remove the small plastic part inside of he fog light first. There are clips that you will want to bend in to help removal of this part. See this:- https://www.skoda-parts.com/spare-part/6v0853666a9b9-fog-lamp-cover-right-skoda-34888.html Even by removing all the engine undertrays? This helped when I removed my grill parts. Thanks. AG Falco
  23. What are you trying to achieve? Thanks. AG Falco
  24. It can be easier to look from behind the grill first. A thin flat trim removal tool put in the right places can help to unclip all the catches that hold the grill in. I find you want to do one clip at a time working from one end to the other. Thanks. AG Falco
