  5. I use a Bosch P7143 oil filter. Fitted 12 so far. Boa constrictor to remove the oil filter and 19mm socket for the sump plug. On the oil front I use a C3 oil not a C5 oil. 0W-20 is only the viscosity of the oil. Thanks. AG Falco

  7. 1.2 TSI 90. ( basically the same engine, just a different map to the 110. ) Just had its 9th MOT yesterday. Clean bill of health with good results on the emissions and brake tests. 10th service done today. No problems. Battery beginning to age but Stop/Start still works! Will test it again when I do my pre winter check in Oct/Nov. Resistance not too high yet. Thanks. AG Falco

  9. I have programmed the lane assist on one of my car's to remember its last setting after an ignition cycle. So I can turn it on, but it's default state is off. Thanks. AG Falco
  10. I checked the the cambelt replacement times as recommended by the belt manufacture before I ordered my Fabia. The information was out there back in 2015. I can't complain about my Fabia I bought in June 2016. The only thing I have changed are the lower front suspension arm rear bushes at £25.00. The rest is just normal servicing parts, and tyres which do 30+K miles. Now at 9 years old and at 88K miles it still has:- Original brakes all round, cam belt, battery, clutch, shocks. I have got a rubber seal on the rear brake caliper to replace but that is due to external damage. £20.00 road tax / VED. Last tank of fuel was at 62 MPG. Thanks. AG Falco
  11. Air con only works when the engine is working. Is the new battery the correct one for the car? Have you bench/mains charged the new battery since it became flat? Is the new battery faulty? Alternator / battery warning light ( with the engine running ) won't light up until the volts are very low. Thanks. AG Falco
  12. If the photos are of the fronts then they don't look new to me. Thanks. AG Falco
  13. Most garages wont do anything mechanical/spend any money until it is sold. Do the rears look new? Part numbers are for rear brakes. Thanks. AG Falco
  14. I was using genuine parts. The fixing holes were all there but the ones on the inner side were behind a layer of underseal. Both sides had the same number of fittings. At the front of the inner arch liners I needed some extra parts. See my post on the fitting needed for more details, as listed above. Thanks. AG Falco
  15. An MOT brake test might confirm any brake issue. The test will check each wheel/brake individually. The parts fitted list you have, include front brake disks, brake pads and a set of shims for the pads to sit in. Thanks. AG Falco
  16. just don't forget to program the new battery to the car when fitted. Thanks. AG Falco
  17. Have you got an EFB type battery or an AGM type? Thanks. AG Falco
  18. Which is an 096 type battery. Some battery manufactures will use a different code. Thanks. AG Falco
  19. The car works out what gear you are in by the engine speed and the road speed. ie with mine at 55 MPH and at 2000 RPM = 5th gear, and at 20MPH and at 2000 RPM = 2nd gear. What milage is it on? Sounds like a clutch issue? Can you start the car in gear? Be careful if you try this! Thanks. AG Falco
  20. On my TSI I have changed them three times and never had a problem at all. Always just come out, without using any special tools / tricks. Thanks. AG Falco
