  1. yes, but will need coding and a GPS antenna installed, additonally there is other options with each, depending on what you want.... Whole kit here BRAND new............not sure that the unit has Bluetooth or not, you would need to ask seller OR see skoda label to see mac address..............also this one is NOT DAB if your looking for that https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/194490536621?hash=item2d488a12ad:g:WPkAAOSw2cNhhO-A&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAsPn%2FnCVQezTGlj6TBGmPLa8ofH1c7H3yzomthkl1%2FZpP2n8VzwSvbk4lRCXLR8g1ZzjWQlwSsLCUt5LX5DczuHozDv1EP9fBi0qc5WPVvnCpLtw0A6Yot9NFk2w1EUzExyUw%2F29GqdBpkcI5XstSQbAzpRZNR7QwFLX1TPUSyKcqC02pN9Jw2LSsEQH24ep8NO0Vi5LpkYiTJ5PiFXQcin20Qam8JcZoNFQS95lyjzp3|tkp%3ABk9SR-T3mLrVYA
  2. Picture of said plug would help........all looms I see for the bluetooth module have more than 8 wires. Do you need the module, theres no bluetooth built in the RNS 315 ?
  3. The guide is the official procedure from the workshop manual. these are the "links" you refer to..... the dash panel is just the trim panel under the dash, which I would assume you have had off already. Next is the footwell vent, the text / procedure refers to a LHD vehicle, RHD would be opposite, this is basically the footwell vent to gain better access to the CCM (also in picture) Lastly is the brake pedal switch.
  4. if it runs for 3/4 seconds, then sounds like fuel starvation to me, I would have "assumed" if the crank sensor was fubar it would not fire at all ?
  5. no such thing needed with this unit, its all built in............your looking at the bluetooth module which is a seperate unit which is normally under the seat for bluetooth prep on the lower spec radios.
  6. from looking at the picture from the workshop manual procedure I posted, it should be easy to "atleast" see the module above the brake pedal.
  7. Fault codes read ? What "tester" did you use ?
  8. no the only PD130 hp diesel was fitted to Mk1 vRS's. Yours will be 105 I suspect
  9. been duped by a badge....... the MK2 VRS is petrol, NOT diesel.
  10. it wont appear I don't think until something is connected. You cannot select bluetooth if there is nothing there. Unless the label is "lying" that unit should def have it. Have you connected your phone with bluetooth on?
  11. I "think" that will work, but I cannot be 100% so do not want to advise you spend money without being sure. The link you posted is from china, so no real "clear" explanation........ this one however is from the UK (I know it's still a chinese product) but you could message the seller to confirm, he does state in description "fit a later unit without replacing the BCM" which is what your doing, worth a message "imo" https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/133700430604?hash=item1f212aab0c:g:IBsAAOSw1clgyNEu
  12. no, from what I can read there is an update via TPi for vw cars, but not relevant to SKoda so people are being told..... (which we know they are the same)... So you WILL need to buy either a replacement CAN gateway (seperate module) OR as I strongly suspect a replacement BCM with a later revision. Some reading...........This is for the RNS510, but the same applies for RNS 315 http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Navigation_System_(RNS510)_Retrofitting
  13. if you have VCDS (vagcom) then login to your car and look at address 19 - CAN gateway and post here what it says. your looking for info like this Address 19: CAN Gateway Labels: 3C0-907-530.lbl Part No SW: 3C0 907 530 C HW: 3C0 907 951 A Component: Gateway 007 0040 Revision: 00007000 Serial number: 0700C0621500F6 Coding: 3FFD0C04C22003 Shop #: WSC 05311 000 00000 VCID: 216728758159
  14. my bad, your terminology of "sub module" is you meaning "part off"......... I for one would like to know the "fix" for this..........looking at workshop manual, when a 2009 cars details are entered, the navigation system seems to be pinned the same as the base radios, so unsure where the diffrence actually is.
  15. I don't think it is Pete, only on a Greenline with start stop tech, all the others it's part of the the vehicle voltage unit.
  16. Then I would use the term "specialist" loosley. Your car was bricked probably as the immobiliser / odometer is stored in the body module and speedo head and they have to match, when they don't "match" the car won't initialize. The "brain" of the car is in 1, or several control units depending on age of vehicle...........as an example, on my 2013 vehicle, the CAN gateway, central convenience and voltage control all come in 1 control unit the BCM, thats the daddy of the electrical system. All this back and forth does not fix the issue, to get that RNS315 to work correctly, it has to talk via the CAN to the car............simple, no other way around it. So you have to update that part of your vehicle, as explained earlier depending on the spec depends on what you need to change.
  17. not sure why you think that, it certainly is nothing to do with the speedo head. If you have a Greenline with stop start, you CAN gateway is a seperate module (for some reason)................otherwise you would have to update the vehicle voltage control unit (BCM) as its part of that module.
  18. I did mention this would be most likely a problem.... Swapping wires ......................it won't have those wires, thats the way we used to do it with aftermartket DIN headunits, with these CAN units theres no option for this. You "could" replace the CAN gateway (if its a seperate module)......need to check this if thats possible, or maybe new BCM then you would also need VCDS or similar to code a used / new module to your vehicle.
  19. I agree, EXTREMELY unlikely...........
  20. I would be looking / checking the water pump as well.
  21. it's not really possible to inspect the wires properly without atleast removing the steering shrouds, and potentially the steering wheel as well. The wires are "inside" the stalk to the rocker switches, they all connect at the end connector / terminals. I would suggest its a "worn" switch contact. Swicth cleaner "may" help if you can get it in there. Maybe easier to replace the stalk tbh.
  22. not sure if are you asking is there issues or telling us there is ? If the radio never switches off (as this is controlled by the CAN) then you will have a flat battery a lot. This will be one of the issues with fitting a CAN unit into a non-CAN car, well atleast in the radio side of things. I think some re-wiring or using an adpater /emulaotr is potentially whats needed. Some one else may post in if they have done this retro fit to an early vehicle. This I think is what you "may" need.......... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/293181226074?hash=item4442f67c5a:g:F00AAOSwPjxf2v23&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAA4MmqGBP%2F%2BClvMoZY9vEZKMO%2FC4%2BsrZc1QKjecoKA6jjgOp3IytV%2FZlekim0sh4x%2FGYI1Ic5fe%2F77nZuhWGcvADG253lr%2BKQBadSekuB2nWzhVmfc%2BxgCZVL%2FfH7Nk%2BxekADjfHM%2B1zmWxxOy8d2uLLkbCXHCGcx8yYsPNiCbwMYRbd2YJLDKgYKvkIVh1tnKRwj50okUPgrLGP326UssGBdlcRdFZ0j1tComo5IBATqpUbI0Vil8FYHNGrXngWNVwUkILdvh9VI6AinUQQO8UNW9v2yl6WlH5gtpVz6kHYZx|tkp%3ABFBMgI6DrM1g
